Hey guys, I need your help. Some buddies and staying over in Wpg this weekend and we want to hit up some awesome pubs. Where should we go? Looking for a place with lots of beer on tap and not too far from mts centre (we have a DD so it could be like 20 mins away) Cheers

Kings Head on King St. 7-8 minute walk from MTS centre. Its my go to spot before and after games. Lots of good beer and great pub food.

The good ol MANWIN!!!
Genius marketing! Taking part of Manitoba and part of Winnipeg, and combing the two!! Do they serve wings?

A few guys at work were saying they went the Norwood Hotel where they offer bus service to and from the game - has anyone here tried this? For twenty bucks you get a burger, beer and bus to and from. I'm thinking of hitting this up on Saturday but was curious if anyone had done it yet. Sounds like a deal and I've heard good feedback about food recently.

Lots of good beer and great pub food. overrated IMO. but then again....i never get out to the bars anymore. It serves beer and good food. Its a traditional pub. If you want a more "club" feel with scantily dressed waitresses then its not the place to go. There are a bunch of places one could go around MTSC for that. I like the Kings Head because it's still close enough to walk but far enough that it's not packed to the rafters like some of the closer downtown establishments.

Hey Tim - You know the Shark Club better than me, any use of me even trying to get in at 1:00 on Saturday? I'd love to meet up with ya for a drink before the game, but I have a beer league game of my own in the morning so I wouldn't be able to get to Shark Club until right around 1:00. Does it reach capacity generally before a Jets game?

I think you guys are all forgetting something what with the Jets game and all. You can't be at the Shark Club at 1 - the Bomber game starts at 1! Can't miss exciting Bomber action.
