Come on no thread about this, lol! Interesting thing about this is the two-way part though.

Wow lot of action here.hahaha. Heard him being interviewed on the radio sounds enthusiastic (not). Obviously no one else was interested in him. Hopefully he can help the boys down on the rock for another run in the playoffs.

I hope he's a heck of a lot better than what we saw last year. I mean, he couldn't be any worse could he? I do remember him having one game last year where I saw some flashes of potential...just one game.

He had one middling year with the Preds in 73 games he had 28 points...and that was his best year.Best year he ever had was with the AHL.

I don't see anything wrong with this signing.Good for the ice caps and can contribute a bit if called up.I don't thinkhe hurts defensively and is familar with the team. There is a good discussion onCJOB whether C hevy is doing a decent job due to our circumstance and location right now.

We'll all be a lot happier when Connor McDavid is at Jets prospects camp!

Basically the Jets are a carbon copy of last year's team that missed the playoffs. It will be a year to watch them to see how low they finish! I predict many of us will be cursing if they are in last place at the beginning of March and then go on a winning streak to pick......in the 9 spot!

We'll all be a lot happier when Connor McDavid is at Jets prospects camp! Hahaha! Elite players. Jets need at least one in the next few years.

If we have to deal with the exact same Jets team as last year and we don't get McDavid or Eichel out of it I feel a bunch of us are going to rage quit.

If fans start bailing on this club after only 4 seasons that would be pathetic (sorry). It would only serve the people outside Winnipeg who are sure the NHL will fail here again.
Look, I get it, we want to see a winner here and it's going slower than we want it to, but there's no way in hell that I'll quit supporting this team. Not after 15 years without one to cheer for.
I'm not entirely sure that's what you meant...
As for Halischuk, he doesn't bring much to the Jets but if it's a two-way he will likely be up and down from St. Johns.

I'm not worried about the fans bailing on the team. I'm starting to worry about True North bailing on the fans.

You don't bail on your team!
Mark Chipman is too competitive to bail either. If their strategy is to build then let them build. There's not always the right deal out there. The Jets are not much different than last year and they almost made the playoffs. Plus you gotta remember there's still time to get something done. Teams that are against the cap can only hold out so long.

Patience. The Jets need to build via draft and development.
Having said that, I'd like to have seen/see the Jets:
1) Bring someone in to challenge Pavelec for #1 position.
2) Make a few trades if the return is sufficient (i.e., move Kane and maybe Buff).
3) Don't be blindly loyal to 3rd and 4th liners - make forward line depth a strength not a weakness (i.e., Thornburn signing is a head-scratcher in terms of $ and term).
