Ehlers looked dynamite. 2 goals and an assist and Shootout goal with Petan.

I think Chevy found a diamond with Ehlers.

I think Chevy found a diamond with Ehlers. I think I heard Lawless say that TNSE had Ehlers ranked as 5th, so they were delighted he actually fell that far. Just hope he realizes how much he'll need to bulk up. St. Louis' legs have their zip codes.

There was a guy with a jets hat right beside him playing roulette. Didn't even know. Haha. Grumpz your right though. He should bulk up a bit before coming into the league. But then again Patrick Kane came into the NHL 5'11, 160 pounds soaking wet and look how he turned out. I'm not saying he'll make the team. But if he starts tearing it up on his 9 game tryout. Just let the kid stay

I don't see the Jets keeping him on the roster this season. I think they'll go with one or two of the older young guys.....Kossy, Lawry etc. There is no hurry to bring him up. That was Atlanta's problem....bringing players in too early.

It sure is hard to be patient while we wait for the Jets to have a legit shot at making the playoffs though.....

Ehlers won't bulk up while he's playing with the QMJHL. Too hard a schedule for muscle work. That will have to wait in the off-season. Let's make no mistake about it the kid is highly skilled. I'd certainly like to see him play in that 9 game window as Scheif did against pure NHL competition. But I'd say his first year of junior should at least be followed with a second year of junior to see whether the first year was not just a confluence of good timing as well. If he can repeat his successes then he is well on his way to moving to a permanent position next year.
