Of those options the choice is clear, but there are some other problems as well, such as the captain who is a very good hockey player but couldn't look less interested in being a Winnipeg Jet. I really think he's quit on the team and (JMO) hasn't been the same player since having that blow up with Noel last year.

WTF happened to him? As for my vote, there's only one choice, even if the list had 4445.

Yeah I'm not even sure what to say about Frolik...talk about shooting blanks! He looks like he's trying hard enough but I can't see him being any more than 3rd line talent. Going into contract negotiations, not looking good for him. It'll probably seal the deal that he won't be back as I'm sure he's not having much fun...mind you we're only 7 games into the season I guess.

Here's the problem, the team is playing in a hockey markey. If they were still in Atlanta no one would care that they can't win. Send em back lol

I don't recall any blowup with Noel and Ladd. Am I missing something?

I'm not saying Pavs was fantastic but if you dissect most of the goals the coverage was horrible. Lowry goes to check druin but misses him and is left in dust druin then gets an empty net....Pavs is to blame? Come on be sensible on that goal. The cross ice pass to Palat looked stoppable but the replay showed that it was tipped in front of Pavs...where was the dman pushing the player away? Two on one Wheeler makes a nice back pass other forward can't even hit the puck but the lightening could score on 2 out of 2 shots in the second. From my standpoint they are short on forward talent, short on D as they give up too many odd man rushes and the goalie isn't good enough to steal a game. You win and lose as a team. Something is definitely wrong with Ladd he isn't that old yet.... Wheeler and Scheif look good Perreault had a good game too but where were the rest. Thorburn looked awful and so did Frolik.

IMO, th biggest problem is the GM. So far in 40 months, Chevy has:
-made no significant trades/acquisitions to fill holes in weak spots, or make the team more competitive.
-failed to buyout Pavelec, when everyone outside the Jets organization knew he would never improve (he is currently sitting at 2-4-0, 2.71 GAA, and a pathetic 0.899 saving %)
-left Montoya unprotected, when he performed excellent as the Jets backup.
-failed to stop Burmistrov from leaving to Russia, or convincing him to return this year
-got rid of Oduya for literally nothing
On the plus side, it looks like he has drafted fairly well.
However, that is not enough. We cannot rely on draft picks completely to make our team better. The Pavelec non-buyout was inexcusable. Now we are stuck with one of the worst goalies in the NHL. It's time to re-evaluate what type of future Chevy has with the organization. I would look at buying out his contract at the end of the year, if the team does not improve, or regresses.

Goaltending is not even close to the most glaring issue. Lack of heart and desire is the most pressing issue.

Agree with most of the above but I'm pleased with the return we got for Oduya. A second and third rounder for a short-term rental middling d-man? How much more would you expect? I'd argue that Chevy's failure to get any return for Antropov and Hainsey was a bigger failure. m.

Antropov didn't play another game in the NHL after his contract... What value did he have? Hainsey just blocked shots, although he had value - it probobly wasn't much, so he would be pretty low on the list.
