To use George Costanza's line: "It's not you, it's me!" I was using duckduckgo as my default browser. Doesn't work, need to use chrome. What I don't understand is that the other pictures, including yours, opened up in in ddg.

Well just before midnight, not a creature was stirring not even a mouse...well except this phone and the warden brushing her teeth. Just finished watching the last (possibly) Oakland Raiders game. A real shame because those are fans, scary fans, but real football fans. They deserved more from all concerned. Apparently because of the legal proceedings brought on by the city against the FB team the Raiders are playing anywhere that will have them while the Vegas digs are being built. Rumours include London, San Fran and local baseball stadiums. Maybe they can split the stadium the San Diego err LA Chargers are using. Anyway, it was nice to see them win against Denver no less, in the last Oakland game ever....possibly. Merry Christmas all, from Santa wearing his Black and Silver threads.

I think they end up at AT&T Park next year. They will have the Raiders play their 1st 2 games on the road to not overlap the baseball season that much. The San Francisco Giants are very old and rebuilding so they won't have to worry about the field being wrecked for playoff games. I think they should go to London for a year as a test run for a full time London team. There's nothing to lose since the Raiders are in a major rebuild. I've heard Reno mentioned too which would make sense to build the Nevada fan base but maybe renovating their small college stadium would cost too much for 1 year. I'm glad the Raiders are leaving(no offense). The fans they do have are great but the Raiders attendance in the Oakland return was horrific. Mt. Davis being shut down says it all(That's what the public is still on the hook for). I blame Al Davis for moving them to LA then running the team into the ground during the return. The city can't be blamed for not building a stadium. The Raiders had the option to partner with the 49ers and they refused. The city should be blamed though for them leaving a year early. The lawsuit is a joke and I hope the Raiders counter-sue and win. I don't know if the win was worth it last night. The Raiders lost 2 draft spots with the win. The Cowboys and Bears picks are low division winning picks. I think the Raiders should have traded Jared Cook since he's playing so well this year and will be 32 next year. By the time they are ready to win he'll be too old plus he's hurting their draft spot.

All good points about fan attendance, crazy owner(s) and city indifference. It is a shame that draft choice positioning could affect whether they should win or lose. They'll have a bunch of draft picks to choose from and lots of cap space but my sense is that this is a relatively weak draft class. The London Raiders? Now that will sell a lot of gear in the team shop.

Especially with the news that the Oregon State QB is staying in school another year. Good thing is the Raiders have so many holes taking defense will work for them.

San Francisco officials come out against Raiders move to Giants ballparkShould the Oakland Raiders play at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants, next year? That’s a hell no, according to a swell of San Francisco politicians scrambling to block the move. Shiny new Supervisor-elect Matt Haney and Board of Supervisors members Hillary Ronen and Aaron Peskin tell me they’re against the Raiders touching a single cleat on San Francisco soil, and will do what they can to stop it. It’s an especially thorny matter as the Raiders’ tentatively proposed jump across The Bay seems to be a negotiating tactic to avoid paying hundreds of millions of dollars to the City of Oakland for abandoning the Oakland Coliseum for (hotter? drier? sandier?) pastures in Las Vegas. The proposal is the newest development in the ongoing litigation between Oakland and The Raiders, and was subsequently confirmed by the San Francisco Giants themselves. “There has been initial interest expressed in exploring the opportunity of the Raiders playing at AT&T Park,” the Giants said in a statement. “Many details would need to be figured out. The Giants want to do what’s best for Bay Area fans and would be open to the concept just as we hosted Cal Football in 2011 when Memorial Stadium in Berkeley was being renovated.” The officials I spoke to are worried San Francisco is turning into a bargaining chip against The Town. “Why would we want to write ourselves into this in a really ugly way?” said Haney, who won this November’s election to represent District 6, which includes AT&T Park. “San Francisco would be the scabs in this scenario if we undercut our friends across the bay,” he added. “People want the Raiders to keep their word and play in Oakland.”Supervisor Hillary Ronen, who represents the nearby Mission District, said she would personally ask the San Francisco Giants’ CEO to refuse the Raiders. “I will call Larry Baer and say ‘Don’t do this. Don’t do this to our sister city across the bay,’” she told me. “This is a slap in the face, I don’t want to have anything to do with this.” Supervisor Aaron Peskin told me, in a statement, “Whether it’s the thoughtless impacts (again) to San Francisco’s waterfront neighborhoods who haven’t been consulted, or the unneighborly blow to Oakland (again), we’re done ripping off Oakland — 2019 is the year of building bridges and working cooperatively with our friends in Oakland.” I did call Mayor London Breed to see if she’d come out against the move, but did not hear back before press time. It would be surprising if she didn’t fight this, as she and Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf have allied on a few issues at least. While it’s not immediately clear what leverage San Francisco could bring to bear on the Giants in this matter, the Giants do depend on a make-nice relationship with our officials — their Mission Rock housing development behind AT&T Park, for instance, came from productive talks with District 6 Supervisor Jane Kim. As for the Raiders, if they did play in our decidedly more-expensive city, it wouldn’t be the first time. After their founding in 1960, they played their home games at Kezar Stadium, and in 1961 they played at Candlestick Park, so they’ve even been roomies with the Giants before. Not that I’m any great sports fan, but even a casual look shows they aren’t so hot — the franchise hasn’t had a winning season since 2016. They weren’t doing so hot before that either. The Raiders are a team bereft of stars, with one eye on Las Vegas and one foot out the door. And if San Francisco has anything to say about it, they’ll vamoose without our help. * * * www.sfexaminer.com/san-francisco-officials-come-raiders-move-giants-ballpark/

Report: Tottenham, Raiders Consider Sharing Stadium in 2019The NFL's Oakland Raiders and Premier League's Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly discussing potentially sharing Tottenham Stadium during the 2019 NFL season, according to the Daily Mail. Per the Mail, the Raiders could play the eight-game home portion of their schedule in the London-based club's new venue, which houses 62,000 observers. FOX Sports' Jay Glazer was the first to report that the Raiders were considering playing in London next season. The Raiders are relocating to Las Vegas in 2020, however it's unclear where they will play next season. Commissioner Roger Goodell has said he's like the Raiders to make a decision by February so the NFL can create its 2019 schedule. Earlier this month, the city of Oakland filed a federal lawsuit against the Raiders and the NFL over the team's plans to relocate. Despite the lawsuit, it was reported that the Raiders could still play one more season at O.co Coliseum in Oakland, even though the team doesn't currently have a lease to do so. The Raiders have also reportedly considered playing at AT&T Park in San Francisco, Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, or Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego. As for the Raiders' potential new home, Tottenham Stadium has yet to host a Premier League match and isn't expected to do so until early 2019. www.si.com/nfl/2018/12/30/tottenham-raiders-share-stadium-2019

“We broke the ticket sales into three phases,” Badain explained. “Phase 1 was the club seats and those are gone. Phase 2 was on sale since summertime and that’s pretty much done. Phase 3 is going on sale at the end of this month.” Previously announced license costs for the Las Vegas stadium range from $3,900 to $75,000 per seat. The third phase is expected to have lower PSL costs starting at $500 a seat. The Raiders initially anticipated generating $250 million in revenue through PSL sales to help finance its $1.1 billion contribution to the $1.8 billion stadium construction cost, but with strong sales, the estimate is expected to be higher. www.reviewjournal.com/sports/raiders-nfl/raiders-reduce-cost-of-some-psls-for-las-vegas-stadium-1576390/
