Well... currently in third and start on the round. Yeah, but just wait. Nashville loses in a shootout, Jets win in overtime. First in the division. Team turns a sharp corner with the locker room solidified. Book it.

Is it possible Maurice has been playing a clever game of underachieving to fly under the radar? We'll see in the first few games if this post-Christmas mediocrity has been nothing but an attempt by Maurice to pace his charges for what really counts - the playoffs.

Dallas was the team that really scared me. I'm feeling better about the St. Louis matchup, despite the run they went on to get in. I'm hoping that they spent all of their reserves just trying to make it and that our battle-tested playoff team will have an edge over them. Something tells me that Winnipeg could be seeing the first ever Game 7 played on home ice.

Nice thought, I wish that was the case but the chances of me finding 5 tones of gold in my back yard are better.

That thought crossed my mind for a fleeting moment as well, but then it seemed to me it would have been much more shrewd to under-utilize your top line and #1 goalie rather than test their limits of endurance.

I actually have no clue on this. They swing from cup challengers to a team that doesn't belong in the playoffs in a heartbeat.Helly has been pretty solid lately.Getting Morrissey back would be a big boost. On the other hand I felt Laine has regressed again in his play.(never mind goal scoring). Can they bring it all togeather at exactly the right time? Beats me! I voted they lose in the western final just because I believe they have a decent shot at that far at least.

I believe they will destroy the Blues, their rookie goalie will wilt under the noise in game one and never recover
Then beat Nashville in the next round, and the Flames in the western final

Morrissey in for sure game 1 as Maurice stated today. But not Tanev. Fortunately, Lindholm looked good in the last game and I think he has a bit more ballast in his hold.

Tanev to me is irreplaceable on that third line. Without his speed, ability to remove the puck from the D zone and checking, the Jets will be worst without him. Appears that the third line of Little, Copp and Laine will be the third? That's a travesty. Little and Laine - this is a combo which helped create a -23 for Laine and minus numbers for Little. Why Maurice thinks that yet again this combo will turn up anything is beyond me.
