And in honor of it being Ukrainian Jetsmas eve, I am celebrating by getting stinking drunk before 10AM just like most Ukranians do. I kid, I kid. (it'll take me until at least noon) I may not be drunk, but, I am stuffing myself on turkey, perogies and cabbage rolls! Thank you Alicia's! I thought it closed? Is the catering side still open??

Twas the night before Jetsmas 'Twas the night before Jetsmas, when all through the 'Peg, Not a creature was stirring, not even a Moose; The Jets jerseys were hung on the dresser with care, In hopes that Don Cherry and Ron Maclean soon would be there; The Jets fans were nestled all snug in their beds, While visions of Dave Ellet's 2nd OT goal danced in their heads; And some fans in XXXL sized Byfuglien jerseys, and I in my Jets cap, Had just settled our brains after a long post preseason nap, When out at 300 Portage Avenue there arose such a clatter, We sprang from our nap to see what was the matter. Away to the MTS Centre I flew like the Finnish Flash, Tore open the front doors to witness my first Go Jets Go! chant. "Now, Little! now, Ladd! now, Burmistrov and Scheifele! On, Enstrom! on, Pavelec!... Noel sprang from the coaches office, to his team gave a whistle, And on to the ice the Jets flew like the down of a thistle, But I heard someone exclaim, as the Jets hit the ice: "Happy Jetsmas to all, and to all a good-night." Awesome post.

Man this really does feel like Christmas eve. I can smell turkey and stuffing, and I'm all jittery hoping the rest of this day goes quickly.

I am so glad i went through with this trip. The city has an electric feel to it. Everywhere i go i see hats, shirts and car flags galore. Even if i dont make it into the game (anyone got a spare ticket or know where i can get one ) its awesome just to be here this weekend. A big thanks to a great city that has been wonderful to me so far Happy Jetsmas and Go Jets Go

My little one asked if Jolly old Saint Nik would be coming down the chimney tonight and I told her Jolly Saint Bettman would be arriving on Jetsmas.
She gave me a really strange look!

Sadly I heard it was closed too.
And it was always a place I'd head for when back in the Peg.
