Moxies patio was so much fun before the game, hecklin Habs fans and carrying on. DF serving up champagne for everyone in the place, I met Mark Crawford, Gabe, and was interviewed by Global News. Watching all the people on Portage getting amped up was fun. The feeling of our community all coming together is priceless

I can't believe we're complaining about who dropped the puck. Really??? The ceremonial puck drop wasn't as awesome as you dreamed it would be. Who cares about a ceremonial puck drop. The only puck drop I care about is at the start of the game. I guess people will always find a reason to complain about something. in that case Chantel Kreviazuk sounded terrible, Pavelec looked like a pylon, Oduya was hog tied and useless, and Buff looked like he had a joint left over from his fishing trip, on the other hand Gary Bettman looked dreamy!!!!....

ANYWAYS! I liked Burmi's effort yesterday. This kid's got potential. I didn't like the hockey IQ of some of my section mates. During a PK, Burmi was dipsy-doodling with the puck, killing PK time, doing a good job of it, and some guys behind me were yelling 'shoot!'. Yep, that's what you do on the PK. Take a low percentage shot while surrounded by the enemy and the rest of your players on on a line change. m. LOL, just like a game in Atlanta!! Burmi drew a TON of penalties last year. HIS hockey IQ is top notch!

I don't think anyone was making much more than a comment -- not a huge complaint; just an observation. It is not a big deal; it just struck me as a strange decision...but yeah you can't please everyone all the time...

The Habs played classic Habs hockey: strong defensive game; great goaltending and when there is the opportunity to score they make sure they end up doing just that.
I am starting to think back to the Lawless article from a few weeks ago -- that the Jets will have trouble scoring this season.
I don't know.

What time did you show up yesterday, 4:05 so you could bypass the ceremony and just see the start of the game? It's just part of the discussion surrounding yesterday...but obviously TNSE cared about who dropped the puck so why shouldn't the fans?

Tough start, probably a little uptight. The D has been bad like this for years. I thought Stuart would make a huge difference, but not yet I guess. There is so much goal scoring potential out there between Kane, Little, Burmistrov, Sheifele and Wheeler, the goals will come. Somebody needs to fix the D. Burmi is the real deal!! I agree about the D. They seemed pretty sloppy and as if they were always scrambling everytime the Habs brought the puck to their side.... That's the glaring weakness of Jets 2.0... Anyway, here are my other observations about the game: The scoring lines on the other hand have some promise but I think they still have to play together longer and fix their chemistry more before they start producing results.... Anyway welcome back guys! Its refreshing to watch a game taking place in a building that's louder in a regular season match than many teams' arenas during the playoffs! By far the best thing about the game! I can only imagine how loud it would be at the MTS - something I hope to find out for myself in the future. Hope your boys give ya something to cheer loudly about soon... PS: Chantal Kreviazuk was HOT! Couldn't get my eyes off her while she was singing the anthem!

I was at the arena prior to 3PM. Not sure what you are inferring there. Would someone be less of a fan if they showed up at 4:05? I was looking forward to the whole experience like everyone else but at the end of the day, I didn't care who was dropping the puck. Thought having Rypien's mother do it was a nice touch.
