I'm sorry. I do believe the OP on this but you can't do that -- OUT people with a picture on this board. Why? Because there's no way we can verify any of this. I hope you understand. I had to delete the original post because I could not remove the photo without doing so...below the line is the original post MINUS the photo of the guys:

Hi,
New member here, first time posting. I was at the Jets game on Sunday. My season tickets are in section 319. These two guys (seen in the picture) were asked again and again by the ushers to sit back in their seats (not lean forward over the rails). My wife and I missed every goal because these two morons kept ignoring the ushers. In fact, when the ushers would turn their backs, they would give them the middle finger. By the third period, it seemed like the ushers were defeated and quit asking them to lean back. I have filed a formal complaint with True North but would love to know their names if anyone recognizes them.
As luck would have it, I PVR'd the game, and the camera zoomed in on our section and got a clear shot of these two idiots. These 20 something where giving a 65 year old usher the finger, real cool losers!

With respect to the issue at hand, sadly, that's today's society; too many folks just giving a crap about themselves and nothing else. There really is no respect for next person.

Well well well. Imagine that more idots being inconsiderate at a Jets game. I won't say I told you so, but yeah, I told you so!! I got rather frustrated at this type of crap in my section too. So I went to TNSE and they kindly changed my season tickets. I really feel for the OP who may have to deal with this kind of behavior over the course of an entire season. My patience ran out after 2 games. I would not walk up to a group of drunkards and tell them to sit the f*** down because there is probably a chance a brawl will break out. The railing is def a problem. Take it from someone who has been there, your best option would be to contact the fine folks at TNSE.

I hate to dwell on this but isn't it more of a "design flaw"? Like I said earlier I haven't been up there but from what I've read it seems as though the angle in which the balcony was constructed only allows an unobstructed view when people of average height are all sitting like mannequins in the front row. apart from the plexiglass which now that I think about it really wouldn't do squat, the only other thing to do would be remove the seats from row two and up and either have a bracket or riser put in place reinstall the seats and therefore raising those seats say 8 inches and that may take that front row issue out of the equation.
either that or just electrify the front railing!

Guess that's what double fisting beer all game long, going in the middle of play and giving the Ushers Crap for not letting them back to their seats while play is going,

I don't know that...TNSE needs to educate fans on this type of issue via signs, handouts, announcements and the ushers...then the fans have to police themselves and use peer pressure...imo

I was in this sec for the home opener and those guys were ridiculous. The usher was actually yelling at them a couple times. Some people just need to get a clue.

to back up what I wrote above about this being a common problem: Canucks' arena: Also see link on how this is a problem at Caps' arena: mikeholden.wordpress.com/2011/06/04/delivering-the-please-do-not-lean-forward-message-better/vcleaners.blogspot.com/from the Sharks' website: Fan Courtesy: The Sharks organization wishes to provide all fans with a safe, comfortable and enjoyable family atmosphere. As a courtesy to fellow fans and our players, while play is in progress, we ask fans to wait for the next whistle before going to or leaving their seats. We also ask guests to not lean forward in their seats so as not to block the view of guests seated behind them. While we appreciate enthusiastic fans in the house, fans around you want to enjoy the game too, so we ask that you keep extreme or reckless movements to a minimum. Guests using foul or abusive language, appearing intoxicated or otherwise displaying rowdy or inconsiderate behavior are subject to ejection. Please contact your nearest usher to report such behavior. We encourage enthusiasm but discourage any behavior which makes others uncomfortable. We also prohibit a ticket holder from using admission to a game to generate publicity for the purpose of promoting and/or marketing other entities, events, and/or personalities without the prior written consent of the San Jose Sharks. The San Jose Sharks reserve the right to expel, without refund, any ticket holders whose behavior which, in the sole discretion of the San Jose Sharks, violates any these behavior policies. Continued violations of the behavior policies may result in the forfeiture of any remaining season tickets of the current season and any renewal privileges. Please notify a Guest Services Attendant if you witness any behavior violations. sharks.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=46422

The railings have a bad effect for everyone. I had two guys leaning forward in the handicap section past the taped line. We tell the usher and nothing is done about it. We then had to make a decision do we lean over our front railing to see over these guys and block the view of people behind us or sit back and miss the shots on goal. We sat back but are getting annoyed because these people are not even in wheel chairs.
The strange part was the ushers were telling the other people in my row not to lean forward but would not do anything about the guys lean over in the handicap section that were not in wheel chairs.
True North better do something soon because I heard many young so called fans who were told to sit down threaten to punch out people.
All it takes is a few drunken fans to start something.

Guess that's what double fisting beer all game long, going in the middle of play and giving the Ushers Crap for not letting them back to their seats while play is going, That could very well be one of the root causes, but it still speaks to the fact of common courtesy. And probably the fact that they're void of all common sense.

I think the ushers have to take the time and speak to everyone in the front row as they are seated. The moron in the picture (which is now deleted) kept yelling to the ushers "if I fall, it's my own fault" (between all the swearing) ... this idiot actually thought the "DO NOT LEAN ON RAILING" was a safety issue, even though everyone around him was yelling at them to sit back ...
If these people actually realized they are blocking someones view, maybe a lightbulb would go off in their head ... perhaps a flyer needs to be placed on each front row "rail" seat for the entire first season explaining how their actions effect the view of the entire section behind them ... the reason it would be needed all year is because with so many people sharing tickets, every game has a "new guy" leaning over the rail ...
Also, the game is so loud, the ushers are yelling at the top of their lungs trying to get through to people sitting in the middle of the row, nobody can hear anybody, it just seems like chaos.

Watch the scoreboard next time. There's a phone number to call for disruptive fan behaviour. I went to the usher who worked our section (60 year old man). When the guys ignored him, he went to get another usher. When the 2nd usher was ignored, the ushers from Section 320 came over and yelled at them. Each time, the fan would sit back for about 30 secs, and as soon as the usher turned his head, would resume leaning on the rail. They were sitting section 319, row 1, seats 11-15 ... I did email True North, I hope something gets done, I like my seats and would prefer to stay. With my luck, I'll move to a new section and have the same issue with another group.
