You guys got any good places that serve sandwiches or wraps w/ Buffalo Chicken?? That's gotta be one of if not my favorite things to get. You guys got any really good delis too?? Cuz there's one in my town that totally loads up the sandwiches and whenever I have a half day of school I go in there and the line inside is mad long with other kids. Also got 4 pizzerias within a mile of each other, amazed they're still in business. I don't think Winnipeg has any truly Jewish style delis. The first Jewish Deli I went to was Stage Deli in NYC. Was blown away!!! $14/15 bucks for a sandwich is pricey, but it really is more of a meal than a sandwich! I don't think my local deli is Jewish style. And idk how buffalo chicken is Jewish style. I got a footlong BLT today and I'm pretty sure I paid around 1/3 that, no more than half that.

I'm just throwing this out there, but whatever you do, avoid having the pulled pork sandwich at Quiznos. The thing gets soggy + disgusting. I went between periods of the Nash/Wpg game. So I grabbed it to go. I live within 5min of the restaurant, and when I got home unwrapped it, all I found was a soggy mess. If you eat it straight away from the oven, might be a different story, but I think the pulled pork container they keep their meat, is saturated in moisture and just ruined my sandwich.

I'm at Deluca's on Portage Ave. with a loaded plate of all you can eat pasta. Great quality, only 10 bucks. You should go, or you can wolf down pizza which they sell by the slice.

I keep forgetting to give a nod to Pasquale's on Marion and Casa Grande on Sargent. Pasquale's feels like a nice family run restaurant while, if you've been to Casa Grande, you just know that it's a (cough, cough) ahem, "Family run restaurant". The food there is unbelievable and you just know the old guys at the corner table knew Luca Brasi personally.

During Grey Cup we ate there on Friday night and it was so good, we went back and ate there the next night. Pretty Damn good. Has a center staircase.

I take the gf out to Hys once every couple of weeks. I prefer it over 529 or any other similar place in Winnipeg.
