it was phillys way of sending a message to the league that what tampa is doing is hurting the game, and philly also embarrased tampa in front of tampa's fans.

Why the f*ck did the ref blow the whistle??? 'F' that. If Philly doesn't want to move the puck because they don't want to risk a turnover who are you to blow it down??? I like what Philly did here. Sit there the whole game and make it a 0-0 tie until the shootout. There is no reason they should be forced to move it. The Lightning players should be as embarassed for playing that system as Roy and Gerbe should be for their European Soccer player dives.

If the trap system works and there's no rule against it, then Tampa is free to use it. Does it make for boring hockey, yes. But I agree with jval07... there was no reason to blow the whistle. Philly should have the ability to wait until Tampa makes a move. I've never seen anything like these videos before!

This whole thing is a sticky scenario. Neither side was doing anything wrong, the trap is by all means legal but does make the game as boring as can be. But I think actually banning it would be very difficult to enforce.

Guy Boucher should pull his p3nis out of his v@gina and coach the way hockey was intended to be played... fast and up and down. After seeing what took place he should be ashamed he's coached his team to play like that. If you're going to respond with "It's allowed" or "it's smart" or "it'll help them diminish their goals against" save your fingers... Roy and Gerbe were also smart for flopping like a carp out of water... but it doesn't mean it's okay.

I'm loving the changes noted in the video: -Larger nets -Full body tackling -Coin toss to determine kickoff -162 game schedule -All Canadian teams will move to Florida or Las Vegas -Mandatory goal zone celebrations -Penalty box replaced with twelve-round octagon matches. All good for the game, no? m.

Isn't the trap what allowed New jersey to win the cup 3 times?
