A quick note for this Sunday, Kitchener beat Mississauga 6-1. Julian Melchiori scored his first goal of the year and added an assist for 2 points. Cody Sol scored a goal and finished the game +3 to increase his plus/minus to a CHL Jets prospects leading total of +26.

What the, I thought Akim Aliu was loaned to a team in Europe? Yep, he went to Europe and then was loaned to the Abbottsford Heat a couple of weeks ago.

Julian Melchiori was traded to the Oshawa Generals for a 4th round pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection and a 4th round pick in 2016.

Julian Melchiori was traded to the Oshawa Generals for a 4th round pick in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection and a 4th round pick in 2016. This move was necessary for Kitchener to continue to abide by overrage player rules. The Bruins had sent one of their prospects back to the OHL and that put the Rangers over, thus they needed to move someone. Melchiori's an underrated defenceman who hopefully will be able to show off more of his talent now that he doesn't have to be the stay at home defensive partner to Ryan Murphy.

Was Mannino dumped or something? I dont know much about our goalie prospects... The organization ended the three way goaltending competition by demoting Mannino down to the ECHL. He currently plays for the Chicago Express. As a quick update, Cody Sol had a big game, scoring two assists and ending +6 in Kitchener's 8-3 win over London tonight.

Hey, guys. I live in Newfoundland and have seen almost all the Ice Caps home games from the past season and playoffs. We've got a good team over here and the future is definitely bright for Jets fans. Cormier, Pasquale, Postma and Mahacek can all be impact players in the near future, among more players. On this forum, I will probably mostly only post about prospects and IceCaps players, but the Jets are now my second favorite team behind the Habs.

The habs suck so you'll have to fix that but otherwise it's good to have you aboard! I'm quite excited for a few of our prospects. Mahacek I hadn't heard a lot about until he came up for the last few games, but he obviously looked great in a short few games for the Jets. I think we have a lot of NHL quality guys in St Johns. I'm not sure if we have anyone capable of being a superstar just yet though. Hopefully Scheifele or Telegin can start to take a step towards that, because you need good players on all 4 lines, but look at the Cup champs from the last 20 years and you'll always see a superstar or 2 (the Bruins being the big outlier!)

I was hoping we would get some IceCaps fans on this board to discuss our prospects. Any insight you have would be appreciated!
