Really, it's ok by you to get the Crap kicked out of you over a game? You're missing my point. I said he had it coming. If I stood outside a Main street hotel on a Friday night and started screaming how great the white man is! Sould I expect to get the shat beat out of me? Yes. When reading about it the next day, what would you think? Would you think: "Oh poor guy. He's just proud of his heritage and wants everyone to know." Or would you think: "What an idiot! He had it coming!" ecellent rebuttal Mike. I was waiting to see how you handled that question. good job!

Being from New Jersey and living 2-3 hours away from Philly, I have a neighbor who is a Flyers fan, and the janitor at my old school is a HUGE Flyer fan. He went down there for some of their playoffs in 2010, and he was at games 3 and 6 against Boston I believe. He said that at game 3 there was a Bruin fan who had to use a security escort just to use the bathroom.
Another guy I talked to went down to a Devils-Flyers game with over 10 other Devil fans I believe, and throughout the whole game they were being harassed by Flyer fans, and then one of them could no longer take it and he got into a fight and they all had to leave.
About 5 years ago I talked to a guy who went to one of the Devils-Flyers 2000 Playoff games, and I'm pretty sure it was either Game 1 or 5, anyways the Devils won the game, and he had trouble just getting out of that place, and he was just wearing a Devils sweater with a Devils logo that is probably smaller than the palm of your hand.
I was at Game 2 of the 2010 Playoffs between the Devils and Flyers (The one game the Devils won), and there was a Flyers fan who actually poured beer on the Devils mascot, and of course got thrown out. I may be going to Devils-Flyers on January 21, I'll tell you all what I see if I do end up going.

Not talking about how the "white man" has treated natives. They are not comparable

Habs fans just like to throw dildos, that allot safer, and more civil! ;D Depends on who that dildo has been in. Could be deadly. m.

(By the way my post never mentioned anything about natives, or how the white man treated them) I'm done with this topic. Think what you will. Douggy-D you should perhaps attend a Devils home game instead of an away game. The Devils could use the added attendance at the rock.

No I quite get the point, a guy shoots his mouth off at a hockey game and you think its ok for him to get the Crap kicked out of him and it's also ok that he has to go to the hospital because according to you he deserved it because he should have known better than to say anything. yup, great fans there

jeez usapegger. why so serious? ;D you think fans in Philly are bad ass? try going to a Celtic v Rangers game. you WILL get killed for being in the wrong part of the staduim for wearing the wrong colors, never mind saying anything. My cousin was over there recently and went to a Celtic match against Hibs and he had on a KC Royals ball cap (he should have known better) and was almost beaten until he told them he was over from Canada. On game days between these two clubs ( Celtic v Rangers) the ER in Glasgow is tripled in capacity, and murders go on for a week after the match.

And you brag about that? anyone that takes pride in people being murdered at sporting events must have deep emotional problems .

I once went to a Bomber/Rider game at Taylor field, and some 50 year old lady comes at me with a can of green spray paint. She was trying to put green paint on my Bomber jersey. Luckily I saw her coming at me and she missed. But seriously, what kind of person does that? I wasn't even at the Labour Day game, it was just a game in October. Anyways, ever since then I've painted all Rider fans with the same brush (metaphorically) and can't stand when TSN tries to make Rider fans seem like the best fans in the CFL. Right or wrong, IMO, I've branded Rider fans as a bunch of people with no class.
Just like, right or wrong, all the fans of Philly are going to be branded as a bunch of idiots if stories like this happen.

Right or wrong, IMO, I've branded Rider fans as a bunch of people with no class. Just like, right or wrong, all the fans of Philly are going to be branded as a bunch of idiots if stories like this happen. I recall hearing an incident at Taylor Field in 2007, when a drunken Rider fan unzipped his pants and began to urinate on one of the Bomber cheerleaders sitting directly below him. Luckily, Rider fans were just as upset and disgusted with the man's actions, and apparently he was knocked out a few seconds after the incident took place. he may have even been charged with sexual assault if I can recall correctly. In fact, I have heard stories of opposing fans in Boston, Philly, New York, and other NHL cities going to the public washroom only to be threatened, assaulted, urinated on, or worse. Can you blame this Bruin fan for changing jersey when he leaves his seat to go to the concourse: Update: Found thread where incident is mentioned, although it is four pages long. It's about Rider fans from a Winnipeg perspective: www.ourbombers.com/messageboard/viewtopic.php?t=27453&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0
