Not too mention it`s not just Winnipeg that got its team back, it is all of Canada`s praries. I`m sure they are selling like wild in Saskatchewan and western Ontario too.

Hahaha! Interesting news, eh?! Kravitch True about SK and west ON also! But I'm sure MN and ND will sell alot also IF and WHEN they're available. Just not sure if they have them there yet! Anyone who's gone shopping in these areas please confirm if there is or isn't so people south of the border who want to get Jets jerseys can too!

I went to school with some guys who were from North Dakota who were all Jets fans.
I think it's a great idea that the Souix are playing a game at the MTS Centre next year.

I think it has more to do with it being a new logo/team and it will die down after the first year,If you live in an NHL City already, how much more of the home teams stuff can you buy in the off season?.And some former Peggers wanting to support the team.
I remember when I was in High school and the Sharks came into the NHL,ppl had a bunch of sharks hats and stuff, they didnt care for the team, but just wanted the logo cause everyone else was gettin one. I saw the same thing with the Ducks and Lightning as well.
Ppl just buy stuff when a new team arrives.

I was in Saskatoon last weekend sporting my Jets cap & t-shirt, and I could not believe the positive comments that I was getting (even the security guys at the airport wanted a closer look at my cap).
I think it means something to Canadian hockey fans after seeing the NHL's southern US experiment struggle that a team came back to Canada. I can't wait to hear stories about people driving around with their Jets car flags when they are the only Canadian team left in the playoffs!

I got stopped last night on the vegas strip no fewer then 20 times people asking if I bought that hat and shirt here in Vegas. I actually had someone offer my $20 for my hat. I said I paid more for it then that and he said yeah well its used. He made a good point but I said its my first jets hat, I won't sell it.

I think it's two fold, one we already have a lot of Flames gear, so of course people are more likely to buy a new Jets shirt than another Flames shirt. Plus, there is a lot of former Winnipeg/Manitoba residents in Calgary. This....and there was a lot of Jets fans around the world before they left in 96.

But people won't buy the team merchandise if they call the team the Jets! Remember, everyone will just wear their old stuff.
So much for that argument... #nonsensical

Went down to the strip again tonight with my other jets shirt and was really surprised at the reception. Went a saw a hypnotist tonight and he said Jets fan? Asked if that was were i was from and said no Brandon. Wheat Kings! was his reply. Turns out he is form Alberta. Then had a big discussion about the Oilers today and Oilers vs Jets history.
back out on the strip got a couple high 5's a few people screaming Winnipeg Jets or Go Jets Go as I passed. What a great night!

"Get used to it, because you'll be seeing lots more !"
