I imagine the crowds would be bigger in round 2 with the Jets out (I usually see at least 1 wheaties game a year but I too didn't go because I was already going to both Jets games that week)
Unfortunately Winnipegers missed their chance, because round 2 will be back in Brandon.

The crowds were not much bigger last year, and they were only competeting with the moose. The crowds are actually quite good, under the circumstances. It's a team from Brandon playing in Winnipeg. I'm sure a few hundred die hard Wheaties fans make the drive to Winnipeg, but the majority of fans are Winnipeggers. Most people I know don't really follow WHL hockey that closely.
