Has to be #25 no one else embodies or evokes the Jets name more Tomas Steen. If it was about my favourite Jets of all time, Steen would be up at the top! You cannot not love Steen!

Hawerchuck. He was "player of the game" in the 1987 Canada Cup Final. He hooked a Russian player that allowed Gretzky & Lemieux to score the game winning goal. Not to mention winning the face-off. Was that the game where he scored two goals as well? I know he won the draw and scored the fifth goal, not sure if he got two. But, he was dominant in that game.

What no Wayne Chernecki, ;D he's the only WCHL Jet to score 50 in a season and had the most carreer pts 150 (Tied) 1970-71 Winnipeg Jets WCHL 65 50 73 123 56 www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/display_players.php?tmi=9022I voted for #10,reason is this is where he got his start and played for 9 years. When the Jets drafted him,he could've been a flop, but he grew into the player he was. I would've given it to Hull, but we knew what we were getting when they inked him to come to the Peg.He was expected to produce and lead the team.

yaa could be true just don't like bobby hull and his " nhl doesn't belong in winnipeg" attitude When did Hull ever say the NHL doesn't belong in Winnipeg?? His opinion was he didn't think that we had the corporate support that was needed, Hawerchuck and many others said the same thing over the years. Greatest Jet has to be Hull (No Hull=No Jets or NHL, imo) next would be Hawerchuck, then Carlyle

Wow, tough poll.
Personally I think of Bobby Hull as the 4th greatest player in history so I'm gonna have to pick him, although Ducky is just a hair behind in my point of view. Selanne's career in Winnipeg was a little too short so that ruled him out for me from the running.

actually someone can pull up the records, but the WHA and NHL had a serious of exhibition games over the years and I believe the WHA teams held their own very well and possibly even won a majority of the games...the WHA was a good league at least for the time and in terms of players... yaa could be true just don't like bobby hull and his " nhl doesn't belong in winnipeg" attitude I liken Bobby Hull's recent attitude to "an old man sending back soup in a deli" (to use a Seinfeld/Costanza analogy). He's kind of turned into a bitter old man when it comes to some things but that doesn't take away from his contributions to hockey in Winnipeg. JMHO.

Well let's just say that his off-ice behaviour hasn't befitted a role model over the years. lol

I guess your own personal opinion, your age and the era you followed. For me it was the 90's and hence Selanne will always be number 1 for me.

In terms of all around contribution to this city, Thomas Steen is the only one that is still around here, by CHOICE. He's got my vote.
Dale's a close second.
Bobby was the reason we and 3 others were in the NHL.
Teemu wasn't here long enough IMO to be considered great as a jet. Awesome career as a player though.

i have to politely disagree, if we are looking at best jet of all time I would have to say wha does not count, as that was like a minor league . bobby hull was great with the hawks and a great wha jet but not the best nhl winnipeg jets of all time not even close ducky all the way ;D actually someone can pull up the records, but the WHA and NHL had a series of exhibition games over the years and I believe the WHA teams held their own very well and possibly even won a majority of the games...the WHA was a good league at least for the time and in terms of players... 34 Wins 22 Losses 7 Ties in favor of the WHA Winnipeg's record 7 Wins 5 Losses 2 Ties
