Pizza hotline is crappy. But passable when tipsy and you have the munchies And whomever is or isn't on the bomber roster this season, I have secured my tickee and can't wait for the games to begin...new stadium ready or not .......I am still in Jet withdrawal! My girlfriend and I are headed to Jets Gear tomorrow on lunch break to see if there is anything new there. And I want to check out the new bomber jerseys, although nothing is going to replace my Milt Jersey!

I guess I will have to try it sober, but when the beer is cold and all you have to remember is one number it was made for allot of us guys!!! ;D

Someone started a poll to boycott Boston Pizza; maybe it should have been Pizza Hotline! Seriously though, no I don't support a boycott of either chain (especially Boston...love the Royal).
I just can't believe that with all of the money the Jets (aka TNSE) are investing in our city's core and raising our region's livability that Cianflone can call them out as being so much more "corporate" and not community minded. When was the last time the Bombers turned down a big sponsor to, for example, serve up a locally brewed beer? Like the Jets, the Bombers need the biggest sponsors they can get, no matter where they're headquartered. Sounds like pure sour grapes by Gerry because he got beat out by Pizza Pizza at MTSC (Pizza Pizza makes a pretty mediocre pie too IMO).

To be fair the Jets didnt really turn down a major beer sponsor, they are sponsored by Bud.

No need for the Bombers to play second fiddle to anyone. Sorry ministerofdefense, I just don't understand that sentiment. The Bombers and the Jets bring much joy (and angst) to many people. To call down one over the other is so not necessary.

I'am. Lets get rid of all the good players and make sure we sign the 2 crap quaterbacks, ,makes prefect sence. I assume that is either sarcasm or you dont know anything about football. The Bombers arent more "community" than the Jets at all. The Jets do far more for the community because they can. Its a bad way of stating the fact that the Bombers are "cheaper" than the Jets so they can attract smaller (ie. community level) sponsors.

PS: Pizza Hotline is actually pretty good. When you consider the price, its damn good.

PS: Pizza Hotline is actually pretty good. When you consider the price, its damn good. Agreed. To be honest, I don't even believe personally there is such a thing as bad pizza. Some is better than others but I've never had pizza I didn't enjoy! It's friggin good stuff, and your picky if you disagree! BP is actually probably my favourite pizza, but considering it costs literally 3-4 times as much as Pizza Hotline, I have PH way more.

Cry me a greasy river bombers are second fiddle here now and forever Anyone else see the irony in this statement given the Bombers announced today they have sold a record number of season tickets and there are lines out the doors of the Bombers office of people waiting to buy more. And they haven't even gone on sale to the general public yet - these are the wait list people from what I understand.

Bombers are not Bush League at all. To say that is ignorant. If you're not a fan, so be it. I dont like Soccer but I wouldnt call it bush leage.
Clearly the Jets are the more valuable entity. Clearly, more money is generated and spent in the NHL than the CFL. Everything is more expensive when it comes to the Jets, but that is not to deminish the Bombers whatsoever. They are still a multi-million dollar sports brand.
PS: There is an old saying, Pizza is like sex. Even when its bad, its still pretty good.

To be fair the Jets didnt really turn down a major beer sponsor, they are sponsored by Bud. Right, I wasn't suggesting that the Jets did turn down a major beer sponsor and I had a quite a few Buds myself at Jets games this season (wouldn't normally be my first choice, but it was convenient and better than no beer). In the context of the article and what Cianflone seemed to be suggesting, I was saying is that the Bombers are no more likely to turn down a major sponsor and supplier in the name of "community spirit" than the Jets are...using beer as an example. Jets serve Bud products, Bombers serve Labatts products (at least they did last time I was at Canadinns), but I'm sure a company like Fort Garry Brewing (when they were locally owned) would have loved to have had an exclusive deal to have their products served at Bomber games.
