Best Beer that you cant get in Manitoba: Crystal (Cuban) I lived off this stuff whilst in Cuba. And the best part is that I didn't pay in CUP (the tourist peso). I snuck into a Caseda and got National Pesos (much more value for your Canadian/American dollar, but that they don't want us to use because they want to make money off of us "rich" tourists, lol), so I was drinking in the non-touristy areas, at about 10 to 20 cents/can in Canadian money!

Budweiser. Love the stuff. Stella isn't tooooooo bad...
Never tried the others as you can't get them over here (I don't think. Well, aside from Guiness obviously)
If you can get your hands on Peroni or Sol, they're always nice.
Or a Bulmers or Magners Irish cider on a hot day in a beer garden. Winner!

I've never liked Canadians who drink American beer (Bud, MGD, Coors, etc.) in Canada. It's borderline blasphemy! In the U.S. or overseas- hey, go nuts. But here in Canada? Drink beer from a Canadian beer company for God's sake !!

Drink beer from a Canadian beer company for God's sake !! Agreed! I like to take it a step further and offer up St. James Pale Ale from Half Pints Brewing Co. here in Winnipeg. Everyone I've had try it thinks it's a fantastic summer brew. m.

I have bizarre taste in beer. ;D Mostly because I have a mild allergy if I drink too much of it, so for me I will try and find unique stuff. If you want to try something different (and if there's a place to find it in Wpg), try "La Chouffe". It is a ~9% strong ale from a microbrewery in Belgium. You could never tell it's that strong from the taste. It's kinda sweet, but since it's unfiltered, there is some yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Some people drink it, some don't. It adds bitterness to it if you do. As far as Canadian stuff, I love Molson M ..or a local microbrewery here in Moncton called Pumphouse which is fantastic. They won a lot of awards for their Scotch Ale and Blueberry Ale (at the pub, they even scoop a spoonful of blueberries in it.. it's like a lava lamp watching that float around. The effect is magnified when you had a few of them ).

Drink beer from a Canadian beer company for God's sake !! Things sure have changed since I turned 18 or a few years younger Back then you could pretty much only get Blue,OV,Club, and Canadian. You couldnt even get other beers brewed outside of Manitoba such as Moosehead or Kokanee. An exotic beer was going across the border and bringing back some Budweiser or Miller.

I generally hate beer. But several years ago as part of wrestling events I was involved with, we pushed our audience to drink a specific brand as it actually made people buy more (making the venue happy). I can't remember why, but we chose Bud. Therefore, I always had a Bud in my hand and to this day, its the only beer I can drink.
