^^^ Unfortunately probably not. A lot of people in Canada outside of Toronto probably feel this way. Other sports=less hockey highlights/analysis. That's why I don't think Canada will be getting a second NBA team and that's why Canada only has 2 pro teams in the big 4 sports leagues outside of the NHL besides demographic limitiations outside of Toronto and Montreal. It's a shame you feel so strongly about the Raptors. Not saying you should be a NBA fan but wanting them to leave is too harsh. Basketball is a part of Canada's cultural herritage. Basketball was invented by a Canadian and the 1st NBA game ever was played in Canada(New York vs. Toronto Huskies at Maple Leaf Gardens). I just don't understand why so many people in Canada would love to see the country become a 1 sport country. I don't want Canada to become a 1 sport country... I love CFL football. I just hate basketball! Have you ever watched two basketball players slap each other during a game? Enough said!

Nothing against the CFL, it's great you have you own league and all but it's not one the the "big 4" leagues. The more "big 4" sports teams Canada has the better. The Raptors give plenty of people enjoyment so there is no need to hope they move. If I didn't like hockey for example(I actually do) and lived in a place like say Winnipeg I'd still be happy that the city had a hockey team since it gives a lot of people enjoyment/civil pride and brings the city attention. The Raptors give Canada a positive reflection. For that reason alone they are a good thing. Most people here in the States think of Canada as a frozen wasteland that only cares about hockey. The Raptors shatter this myth since they almost always draw above league average attendance and PAY INTO revenue sharing despite a crap product almost the entire team history.

Meh, we have the Blue Jays to show that we're not a winter wasteland. A sissy sport like basketball isn't what I want Canada to be known for!

^ But who are you to say? If there are fans of the Raptors, who are you to say the team should move because you don't like watching highlights on TSN? We don't all like the same thing compromise or change the channel. But you can't say move a team that does ok in revenue because you don't like a sport.

I'm obviously mostly kidding... okay, no I'm not kidding at all. I do HOPE the Raptors move but I obviously realize they won't and shouldn't since they have support. And I'm not going to Slippy-ize this thread with a million comments bashing the Raptors. I just thought I'd throw it out there that every basketball player in the world is a sissy! ;D
