^ I don't think so. Its not like other cities who got a new team and went with a new name, this is the Winnipeg Jets. Once a Jet. Besides, the people want to see the former Jets so I can see the NHL giving the people what they want with this one. But who makes that decision? Is it up to True North to recruit whomever they want for their alumni team or are their rules? By definition, Thrashers players are Jets alumni. i dont like your definition. ;D i understand what your saying, but we would want players that actually played as Jets, not Thrashers. it is our right and the league should ( wont) recognize that.

^ It depends I think once the Coyotes are gone the NHL will have no problem with it. I know if Quebec had a team this year and was playing in an outdoor game there would be former Nordiques players on the team, not Coyotes players.

TNSE can do what they wish. For example, the Minnesota Wild have an alumni association that includes the old North Stars team. We can have a Jets alumni that includes WHA and NHL 79-96 players.

For those that said the WHA guys would be too old .... remember that Philly had a bunch of the 70s Bullies (notably Bernie Parent) on their alumni roster. So, it's not really about all skill as much as popular names from back in the day.
I can attempt a list based on my somewhat limited knowledge of past stars:
Forwards Dale Hawerchuk Thomas Steen Bobby Hull Anders Hedberg Ulf Nilsson Teemu Selanne Laurie Boschman Paul MacLean Ed Olczyk Doug Smail Alexei Zhamnov
Defense Randy Carlyle Teppo Numminen Dave Babych
Goalies Bob Essensa Joe Daley
