More appreciative of what??? A bad team in a bad building? Give up my tickets to someone who falls in line, does not criticize, does not boo our beloved Jets, just blindly accepts that gee golly whiz we got an NHL team. Yahoo, I should be just like you...Chipman is god, our team rules, the MTSC is a palace! You are absolutely right, I am nothing but a whining ingrate who can't understand the tremendous situation I find myself in. Oh yeah, listen to the fans booing the great performance against the Caps. They are jerks for booing, why don't they give up their tickets to someone who will just accept a crap sandwich dropped on their plate. No goals against the Caps in three games. Anything else brilliant to say or will you just be dismissive again. This thankfully will be my last post in this thread before it gets shut down. Time to move on.

The only thing that I allow myself to be really annoyed about at MTSC are the black rails that obstruct my views where only plexiglass glass should be. If people can walk on a glass observation deck over the Grand Canyon, I'm sure Engineers hired by TNSE can make a glass railing that I can see through better than a black pipe.
Unfortunately the heads in front of me that obscure my view and the tight shoulder room are a major shortcoming of the arena design, but will not be rectified until we get a new building... so to me it seems pointless to even complain about that for say another 20 years or so.

Wow, sounds miserable. Maybe the team should relocate here to Jobing.com where you can enjoy great views and comfortable seats w/shoulder room. We'll welcome you with open arms. ;D -TODD

Yep you could play two games at the same time and not fill the place, but I will admit one hell of a place to watch a game someone should take LT and JayR and see if they can tell the difference,

Whoa, serious anger issues dude. Where does this sense of entitlement come from? You paid your money knowing what you were getting. If you don't like it don't pay your money. No one owe you a thing. Chillax a little. Using the word "chillax' voids your credibility straight away. Where do you interpret any anger issues? I thought this thread was about improving the arena and people post legitimate issues that detract from the overall experience, then they get jumped on by trolls. Any sense of entitlement comes from spending $6000 a year of my hard earned money to attend hockey games. I paid my money not knowing what the view or amenities were like from the upper deck. It was a bit disapointing but I am living with it and I don't think it's a big issue to point out that there are problems. I was a season ticket holder for Jets 1.0 back at the old barn and never had an obstructed view or cramped seat or lack of space on the concourse or lineups for the loo. But I am glad we have this building, it is a step up but I am also entitled to voice my issues with its shortcomings. Perhaps I misread your anger. Apologies. Maybe you weren't angry. Just a jerk?

Wasn't he close to a -40 at one point?? Good on him for impressing someone somewhere in this forum. Todd, if you keep your karma the way it is, we'll have to start calling you Olli Jokinen. Sorry go to off-topic....

Before we got the Jets back I was kinda hoping to see the Job arena. You know I understand that the MTS Center has deficiencies and hopefully legit issues get fixed where possible. Chipman said that he will be reinvesting each year back into the arena. Personally I could see them expanding the lower level out onto the streets. That would add space to the concourse and give them room for more washroom space. It's the bitching that gets to me not the legit concerns. Do I wish they built a bigger, nicer arena of course I do but it is what it is. You should see the piece of Crap arena we have in Thunder Bay!

I know ours isn't the best but it beats some of them out there - it's loud, energetic and fun to be there. Thats what going to a game is all about.

Played in it, its not all that bad, being that your not from the Peg you may just not get that some of us are tired of things being done second rate here, I think we are first rate and deserve to be treated that way.

All we can hope for are upgrades to MTS Centre. Look at the deficits all levels of government have, there would be zero political will for money to replace a newish arena. Also what if by a miracle funding was found for another arena what would happen to MTS Centre? There isn't enough events to make two arenas viable. I agree MTS Centre is not all we'd like to be but I'd bet my life savings, MTS will be the home of the Jets for at least 20 more years/

I lived in Winnipeg for 14 years. I get it. When I first moved there I noticed the Winnipeg mentality of feeling like they were the poor step child. Other cities and announcers didn't help the way they put down Winterpeg. I hated that and never had that feeling. Living on TBay, Dryden & Kenora made me realize how lucky Winnipeg was. I loved living there 1990 to 2004. I hated losing the Jets and saw the city pride when we got them back and no one speaks badly of Winnipeg anymore except the odd whiner who lives there. Now I travel there for business and found a place to score tickets that are Center ice 14 rows up AND I get to expense it. Life is good;)
