Wow, sounds miserable. Maybe the team should relocate here to Jobing.com where you can enjoy great views and comfortable seats w/shoulder room. We'll welcome you with open arms. ;D -TODD

People have to realise that the MTSC was not built second rate. It was built quite luxuriously for what we had at the time.

You have to understand and accept the MTSC WAS built second rate. TOO SMALL SEATS NOT WIDE ENOUGH LOBBY NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR TRAFFIC NOT ENOUGH WASHROOMS BAD SOUND SECOND RATE CLOCK ONLY 1 FREEZING PLANT UPPER DECK BUILT TOO FAR INWARD CAUSING OBSTRUCTED VIEWS ENTRY WAYS RISE UP TOO HIGH OBSTRUCTING VIEW AIR EXCHANGE WORKS UNEVENLY I could go on but why bother when It can't be fixed. I go and cheer for my team but I am not so blinded by the love that I can't see the faults of the building.

Who is this clown?
MTSC was not built for the Jets. It was built for a minor league team that was expected to draw, what, 6-8 thousand at best? It definitely shoehorned in some ammenities so it *could* house an NHL team one day but with no guarantee of that happening (and really, at the time MTSC was built, the return of the NHL was seen as a virtual impossibility).
If the MTSC had been built as a palace for the Moose with more leg room etc, we wouldn't have the Jets because it wouldnt have 15,000 seats.
Ofcourse, had the city allowed closure of one of the side streets (or building the MTSC upper deck over the street) we could have had a better facility. City has always been short-sited.
But dont worry, in about 15-20 years they will consider a new arena. I've always said Portage Place location would be great for a new downtown arena. And yes, it will be a palace.

I have to dis agree with you on a few things.. Second Rate clock.. while its not the best in the league.. really there's nothing wrong with it. Bad sound? ..maybe you just have bad ears.. seriously ..there's nothing wrong with the sound there Obstructed Views?! I've sat in pretty much every single angle of that building and unless you are REALLY REALLY fussy... there isn't a bad view in the place. Air Exchange.. you're worried about air exchange at a hockey game..or any other event for that matter? dude.. I think you need to be paying attention to other things... I hope you felt better after that rant though lol.

Also one more thing.. this building was not built knowing they would have an NHL team. They built an arena that was capable of housing one..which it is.. At the time we have 7-8 K people at every hockey game..not 15 K. It housed AHL just great. Now that they have the NHL here they continue to up grade different areas. They cant do everything all at once..At least they are making improvements every so often. The building is already 10 years old this year.
