With the impending lock-out, It would be great to see the IceCaps play a game at the MTScenter. Even if the lockout is resolved I would still really enjoy seeing the Jets Farm team. I would actually like to see a anual game played at MTCcenter. Kinda a perfect fit.
True North Owns the IceCaps Jets Farm team, and those who cant get tickets to see the Big League team could catch the Babby Jets And its the former Moose, and there was a loyal fanbase. If they played one game a year TN could add it as an option on season ticket packages. It could also be a test to see if the Market is ripe for a minor league team in the City such as a WHL franchise.

Great idea, but at the very least it would be fantastic if we could get the televised games here on Jets TV. Lock out or not, I would love to see their games.

Sorry no interest here, I couldn't see a Vancouver Canucks fans last year asking to see televised Moose games, maybe I'm wrong but I don't think so.

All Ice Caps games are sold out, No way True North would do that to St, Johns. How would we have felt during the last strike if Moose games were moved to Vancouver, Logistically it wouldn't work either with travel etc.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ice Caps games on TV, although not all that willing to pay $10 a month for TSN Jets just to see AHL hockey.

Moving the IceCaps back to Winnipeg during the lockout would be a slap in the face as well as a kick in the nuts to IceCaps season ticket holders and fans.
St John's has embraced our team and I would absolutely against poisoning our relationship with them.

Sorry I just don't want to here the name the Moose again, it still turns my stomach, a 15 year stretch I don't want to remember. I will be happy the day they change the mascot.

And yes, to rip hockey away from them because it's a lockout would obviously kill the love for the team, but I do think the annual 1 game a year idea could work. Interesting thought anyways.

Worst idea ever, why would you slap the fans and season ticket holders of the ice caps in the face like that.

However how about a IceCaps Road game played here. Say a Springfield or Albany team plays a home game here. The owners of the home team gets 50 % of the gate. TN gets 50%. I'm not picking Albany or any other team on purpose. My point is some AHL teams have great difficulty in getting decent attendance. Get one of those teams who would be playing St.Johns at home to play here instead. There is precedence in the 2004 lockout St.Johns (Maple leafs) played in Toronto for one or two nights. As far as watching the IceCaps on Jets TV I'd be in favor of that. However my memory of AHL games on TV is like it was shot on my uncles Camcorder circa 1987.

^ So like some Florida Panthers games. Worse...Not sure how the AHL works with the whole "announced attandance" however here is a list of some of the AHLs attandance 2010-11 - 2011/12 www.coppernblue.com/2012/4/30/2989293/playoff-attendance-in-the-ahlTops was Hershy with 9872 (reg season), followed by Manitoba (20010-2011) with 8404 (reg season). Then you have the doghouse Birghingham 3652, Abbotsford 3545, and Lowell @ 2498. (all reg season) Seriously 2498 average attandance? I bet the freaking Winkler Flyers get that...and all paid
