I thought for sure he'd take a full year off and just train so that he can be 100% sure his body is healed up.

I thought for sure he'd take a full year off and just train so that he can be 100% sure his body is healed up. You can't heal what's not there; his shoulders are gone. He's done! Best he can do is what he's doing now....try one last gap in a low-hitting league like Finland and hope to latch on somewhere where his size & speed might get him some playing time and hopefully some interest from another sucker pro team -- before officially calling it quits. We only signed him b/c he was a home town boy -- we didn't know how bad his shoulders were; worse than anticipated. I for one, believe he should give back some of the $$ he earned as a Winnipeg Jet in the form of a donation to a children's charity...only way to save face now. He pulled the wool over our eyes and even though he's a great guy and all -- time to retire, do some broadcasting or real estate work in the area, and call it career! This is incredibly stupid.

This is incredibly stupid. I agree: its pretty stupid of Fehr to go over and try to resurrect his career in Finland when the Jets doctors, the Caps doctors, and Fehr's own doctors have told him to shut it down. Thanks for your support! Karma for you! BS. Find me one quote from a doctor who has told Fehr to "shut it down".

I feel bad for how this past year has worked out for Eric Fehr I really think he was hoping it would work out here in the 'peg for his own sake and because this is his home (province). Great guy. I wish him well anywhere he goes!

JFW, why should Fehr give money back, we traded for him we didnt sign him. The jets chose to take a risk on Fehr, and he was going to make that money if he played in Washington or Winnipeg. There is no reason Fehr needs to give back any money he earned.
The fact that you're opinion is based on him signing here and somehow tricking our team into signing him makes it a complete BS opinion. We traded for him, thats on the GM not the player.

I said he should "donate" some of the money he received to a children's charity. I didn't ask him to give back money to TN. That would be stupid. My suggestion was to take some of the money that he "earned" and donate it...for the kids....sick kids...like little sally....and timmy......don't forget timmy.

The Jets took a calculated risk in signing Fehr.
Unfortunately, it did not work out.
