id rather go to the Pemby and have some loonie burgers, pitchers and a jets game. ( that was so jets 1.0 ago now i know, but it was great!...even had the hotline to call to see if the game was on that night) i'll say...its not even called the Pemby anymore.

such refined palates for our Jets fans i see. lets see here. i go to a sports bar to watch the game, drink a few pitchers of beer to wash down my wings or ribs. im not there for the filet mignon. Hey, so am I, but no joke I've had/friends I was with had burgers so undercooked they had to go back (with nary a word of apology + attitude), wrong wings delivered with no apology/discount/time to send back, etc. I've been there to watch a playoff baseball game and had to beg a bartender to put just one TV on it when every tube in the house had a non-Bombers Friday Night Football game on. It was just poorly executed, maybe understaffed or lack of any experienced staff, I dunno. I wanted to like it, I really did. Came to view it as a location of last resort to go pre-game.

What does it say about their management when they can't make a sports bar a success when its located right across the street from the MTSC?
They should have sold to True North when they had the chance. Instead, TN set about building their own sports bar at City Place not to mention the lounges/restaurants that will be located next door at the new hotel.
4-Play threw in the towel.

Picture of beer for 5 bucks, great fast service..the food was...well it was the Pemby but the place was awsome. I moved to the city in '98 so I missed Jets 1.0 games there but I here they were legendary.

Fillet Mignon is one thing...they couldnt get deep fried wings or nachos. Service was crap..disorginised chaos. I've seen servers there going from table to table asking if this was ours, and when saying no but i'd like to order a drink the answer was no. Literaly flagging down a server to try and get a drink...end up wating in line with a lot of other frustrated guys at the bar who are in the same boat as you. The service truely was dismal there. Much rather go to Shannons, Elephant and Castle, or Tavern before a game. Yeah that happened every time I went. Chickens with their heads cut off. We had an NFL fantasy draft there a year and a half ago. Pretty empty night, yet we waited and waited to be served. There was an advertisement on our table for 2 bottles on any Sleeman's flavor for $3.99. Our bills were all wrong of course and were charged full price for each bottle. We showed our server the advertisement, which was on every table, and she had no clue about it. Waited another half hour to get all the bills fixed.

All they needed to be was half competent and they would have thrived, too bad because the concept is great. They should have got Bar Rescue in there.

It always amazes me how someone will dump Millions into building a reataurant/Lounge such as 4play and not spend a dime on training their staff. Seems they hire more for looks than quality of personality. Dont get me wrong I like pretty girls seving me drinks. However I'm far more happier with good service getting my orders correct and no pissy little attititude.

I think the really amazing thing is that no one has tried to blame this on Kane's immaturity or Buff's lack of fitness

It amazes me that they have tried virtually everyting under the Sun to make that building profitable, and it seems to change ownership every 2-3 years. I remember it being Richard's American Bar, The Aztec, Times Night Club, Blush, and probably several other names...

You would think that would be an ideal location but then again I do see how it would have some draw backs especially with parking on game days. I didn't frequent the place although I did enjoy their jalapeño wings.

Turned 18 back in November and was hoping that the lockout would end and I could check the place out during a Jets game. Sounds like I wasn't missing much.
