I would hate to be the sucker that drafted Lupul, fractured forearm from a Phaneuf slapshot.

Hey I just noticed that rosters can only be set weekly. Is there any point in bench players in this type of setup other than replacements for long-term injury?

Hey I just noticed that rosters can only be set weekly. Is there any point in bench players in this type of setup other than replacements for long-term injury? Well you can set your lineup for the week based on the number of games a particular player will be playing too. If a bench player has 4 games and a starter is only playing in 3 you may want to play the benched guy. So there's some strategy there. With that said i kinda just set this up without knowing what the majority of people would like. If you guys would prefer it to be a daily change I can still technically change it. I can cancel the draft change the setting then just manually assign the players back to each team.

I'm not too worried about it, but if it comes down to a vote put me down for daily change. If it does get changed I think you just need to email the Yahoo guys and they will change it, no need for a lot of work by you.

I'm happy to keep it weekly. Do guys really have time to be tinkering with their rosters every day?

I like daily, players go streaky or don't play well against some teams. I like to update everyday, like a big nerd

OK, I've secured what I think are a couple of great prizes for our draft. Thanks to an anonymous donor we have TWO Jets jerseys! One home, one away. One's XXL, the other is either XL or L. I don't recall which is which... One thing about these jerseys: Mark Chipman has agreed to sign them!Yep, the top two finishers in this years JHF draft will each receive a Jets jersey signed by team owner Mark Chipman! Again, I encourage everyone to draft from the Blue Jackets, Islanders, and Edmonton (team that shall not be named) heavily. And again, Patrik Stefan is a real up and comer... m. Can I go back in time and enter this pool?! FACK! I have a "Chipman" name bar on my jersey, and I've wanted it signed forever.

Friggen Mike Smith...
Anyway, I'm pretty happy with my team. But this is my first time doing this. How/when are we able to edit our rosters? If it's weekly, when are the picks for the next week "locked in"? Can I play as many goalies as I want?

Lineups lock Sunday at Midnight I beleive. You have to switch over to a Monday to edit your lineup for the upcoming week.
Daily lineups versus weekly lineups would make a pretty big difference in the guys you would draft. Based on the scoring Goalies will score way more points than any other position. For example, last year Dubnyk scored the same amount of points as Malkin. If this was daily lineups you would want 4 or 5 starting goalies so you would be playing 2 every day. You would also want guys with lots of position eligibility to ensure that if the guy was playing you'd be able to fit him in your lineup somewhere.
This isn't really something that you could fairly change after a draft and since Deuce got the prizes and he wants weekly lineups that's what my vote is.

I've played both, Daily does make for a lot of time, I only liked daily because the rest of the league often didn't make changes very often so I cleaned up ...until the league final. I swear I have the Guinness book of world records for most fantasy league losses in a final. Since the final loser also gets jersey....I'm okay with that

The only problem with weekly is the goalies. what happens if that goalie does not start that night, would it not be nice to be able to put one in that will be starting? for example i have both st louis goalies. ( I have a goaliepost.com account and would gladly be of help)...or is this part of the challenge of weekly?
