^ Happ can contest to that on Tampa's court. not to distract from the convo but a liner to the head that didn't touch the ground has nothing to do with the turf.

No but im pretty sure bucholz got hit last night with a comebacker that bounced off the turf. Also i saw a ground rule double that was a slow hit flyball just trampoline over the wall.

^ I think the Jays need a new owner for sure, Rogers dosen't give two craps about their customers or Jays fans. Its the only team with a statue of a former owner and media mogul oiutside instead of a defining moment in team history (a statute of the "touch 'em all Joe" homerun would be comparable to the Bobby Orr goal). Most Jays fans I know love the Dome. Only thing I suggest is get rid of Rogers and get rid of the turf. A real owner will invest in the team and make them elite, not just something to make money with. I've seen a lot of Jays fans on the net who hate the dome and want a retro park. A retro park would draw more than the die hards. It would draw the casual fans who want the ballpark experience. Jays in the dome are only going to get die hards most seasons except when the are world series contenders. I'm not totally against the Dome, it will keep a team alive and the hotel is a nice feature but it's a circular monstrosity even with grass. If you put a downtown retro park in Toronto they easily draw well into the 30,000 year after year. It should at least be investigated. Sell the land at the dome for development to pay for it. Also have a hotel in the outfield like at the dome to make $$$ to pay for it or have apartments in the outfield. If you investigate it and it don't pencil out fine stick with the dome cause I know you aren't going to get much public $$$ for it. But the thing is with Rogers is they would NEVER even think of investigating something like this because the always settle for mediocrity. No ability the think outside the box what so ever.

I don't think they'd move the team because I don't think you can get a stadium built in Toronto or that Toronto cares. But it wouldn't surprise me if Bon Jovi comes up with the highest bid. Then attendance falls to nothing because everyone thinks the team is leaving then 2019 rolls around and they fail to get a stadium in Toronto financed and they keep playing to empty crowds in Buffalo. No way should the NFL approve this but these are the same guys who think it would be a swell idea for Mark Davis to build a minor league 59,000 seat stadium in Oakland rather than go to LA so don't rule anything out.... Jaworski is lying for his buddy. If Bon Jovi gets it they are going to TRY and move it. They will probably fail(no stadium in Toronto) but they will definitely try. No way is the Toronto group keeping it in Buffalo if they can help it. I beg to differ on Toronto only caring about leafs. Raptors draw well and what have they provide fans these last 18 years? Almost nothing. 2 division titles and 1st round exits. Jays had a good history of drawing until 1999. If you gave them a real park and real owner they'd be an elite MLB team. Toronto does suck as a football town though. Both CFL and NFL. thing is mike, I still think a canadian ownership group would take Niagra falls over Canada. Canada when you are building you need either the city maybeeeee the province or you are going to the parliament. No way Canada isnt going to go apeCrap to "protect 12 men on the field and 2 downs to punt" ball. They are just going to fight to keep the nfl out....best alternative. Niagra falls aAAAANd you dont piss off american tv companies. I'm sorry but I don't trust these guys. If they buy the team it will be a total disaster. They won't even try to get a stadium local. It will be like Clay Bennett with the Seattle Supersonics part 2. The Bills will draw fewer fans than the freaking Raiders even. No one is going to trust these guys. I know Pegula/Jacobs have the $$$ but I have a bad feeling they cheap out and Bon Jovi wins:( Again if they win I don't think they actually get the team to Toronto but what I think will happen is they will have 7 years of disastrous attendance in Buffalo the Toronto stadium fails then they are sold to a new local Buffalo owner. Goodall should not allow this sale if it happens. It will be a total disaster.
