TNSE will be adding a ring below to the upper deck in front of the first row and above the suite level. This will add about 550 seats and be priced at a P1 price point. The suite holders were notified of the change recently. They will be drilling into the upper deck to install this row. Should put another 2.5 mill in their jeans a year.

Source?
I always thought there was room there and that it didn't look right that the upper bowl didn't hang lower over the suites. However, I did not know if it was possible to add a row. 15,554 would be nice.

We all know their current arena is too small and the NHL would never move a team there . So aare you saying the upper deck is getting a new row?? I hope not cause the the corner is pretty obstructed for me as it is

Seriously why on earth can they not add standing room?
I (and I'm sure others as well) would for sure buy season tickets (or at least go to WAY more games) if there was standing room. I have zero problem standing for 2.5 hours to watch a hockey game.
I hate sitting in the seats. It's uncomfortable.

Smells like BS to me. What's the source of this report? Without a source it's just a rumor.
If another level were to be put there, wouldn't that obstruct the suites' views of the scoreboard? And P1 prices for upper deck, really? I find that hard to believe.
I must admit with my Wait List position it's a tempting possibility.

I recall exchanging PMs with briscodog back on the old Jetsowner site. He's legit.

I thought it was not possible to get more seats in MTS? Anything is possible if you want to spend the money. This is interesting. Hope it is true.

I thought it was not possible to get more seats in MTS? They could put allot more then the 550 seats as stated, it just comes down to how much does it cost to add each seat and how fast would they see a return on the investment. I'm guessing if they added theses seats where he said they are, this would probably cost about $4500.00 a seat to add.

It will only be one row due to site lines for the suite holders. It will be an expensive addition but remember these will be P1 seats. It won't take long to recoup the investment. Don't be surprised if some announcement is made very soon.

Why has this not been mentioned before? TNSE is usually pretty "rah, rah, rah" when it comes to arena improvements.

Unless you show the copy of the email notice or scanned letter, this is as legit as the ones who think/say the roof can be lifted up to add more seats in the upper deck.

Well lifting the roof was legit, speak to --- on that one, cost was more than what the arena was original built for!
