If David Thomson got off his wallet, maybe just maybe we could build something close to the most beautiful rink in the world!! ...plush leather seats for all!!!!... this is the temple of hockey, hands down!

Yep took my team there to play a couple exhibition games, then went at night to watch one, second to nothing that rink even the spare dressing room for our teams were fantastic, all this for college hockey. The granite alone was worth more then the whole MTS center, you need to experience a college game there at least one time!

David Thomson does not own the Jets. David Thomson is a partner in TNSE, who owns the Jets. It's not up to David Thomson to "get off his wallet". It's a business. As much as they (TNSE partners)are fans of the game, they are business men first. You don't stay a successful businessman by "opening your wallet" needlessly.

I hear that, but Ralph Engelstad didn't build this to make money,he left it as a gift... which in my eyes makes it that much more special of a place!
