We have a bunch of threads on this i thought i can consolidate so guys like me and mikecubs can post general updates
Largest issues at the moment
1) Bills Sale and Toronto interest
Suitors: Bon jovi and MLSE (reportedly not interested in relocation), Terry PEgula, Jeremy Jacobs (stadium interest) ,Tom Golisano, Donald trump
Most likely winner? IMO Terry pegula has the capital to doit and combined with Jeremy Jacobs as a stadium investor? powerful group
MLSE most likely would try to avoid the canadian government and stay in NY just move closer to the border at Niagra Falls.
2) Oakland Raiders and Los Angeles
The raiders are very popular in LA, the A's are currently the #1 team in baseball and close to a big lease meaning the Raiders may want out.
3) Combined Issue. St Louis Rams and Los Angeles
Could they team up with the Raiders and build a stadium Ala Metlife? I think its a real possibility. This would be the second relocation for the nfl in saint louis whihc would be a death nail.
4) Jaguars? Not moving. Lease is too strong and its too hard to plunge a team into the red in the nfl
5) Chargers Stadium situation? 2016 is when we will find out
6) Available cities for relocation?
---1- LA is the top prospect, too much money, too big a market and i think a stadium could be put together easier with private money than originally thought.
---2- San Antonio/ South Texas- Football rabid people 2 cities in the area with temp stadiums. They spend millions on college ball, it could happen with the right partner and owner.
---NOT REAL- London or Toronto- Will never be considered. logistics are too tough, London sports market is heavily crowded with several Rugby union clubs, and several premier league teams. Wembly would not be allowed for a full season.
Toronto- Too hard to get through CFL bias, no stadium worth moving into, And the southern ontario market is covered in western ny already with a large portion of season ticket holders coming from canada.
