It just seems like in every sport the fans and players do not like the Commissioner.
I don't particularly like Bettman but I think it's Goodell.

Definitely Goodall by far. The guy can't do anything right. Ray Rice scandal and worst of all can't get a team into LA.
Bettman would be second with his obsession with the Coyotes.
Silver is just starting and has done a great job. Forcing sterling out, getting a bigger than expected TV deal etc... The man he replaced was probably the greatest commissioner of all time. NBA was on tape delay in the early 80's for the finals, now it's a global game.
Selig did a great job other than steroids and failure to understand that fans don't want 3+ hour slow ballgames I think his replacement Rob Manfred really gets it with the pace of game thing. There is no doubt the pitch clock is coming. Number 1 risk to baseball is young people may not like it even when the get older if it's so slow.

1- Goodell
2-Selig the ruining of professional baseball and the destruction of the sport. Revenue is an anomally of live programming. The sport is now insufferable. Hopefully Manfred fixes it. IMO he is the worst commissioner an the worst person to ever run a professional sports league
Think about my review of selig... then see that goodell sucks so bad he is ahead of him as the worst. Goodell is just pathetic
3- Bettman - Coyotes and Florida dont compare to the damage done by Selig and Goodell
4- Silver- AKA Michael Corleone. The boss. He is the new godfather. All hail the king

^^^ LOL. Silver and Manfred just started. What has Silver done wrong so far? Or are you counting Stern? By most accounts(outside of Seattle) most NBA fans actually like David Stern.

Silver over punished Donald Sterling and rushed the decision through to keep the race baiters happy and away
what Sterling said was stupid and wrong but he should not have been forced to sell his business because he said something ignorant. Fine him, suspend him from attending a seasons worth of games but he had no rite to make the man get rid of his life's work.
Forgive me I forgot the new MLB cat had already started 2 days ago. My followings of baseball don't go far. I keep up with the Red Sox, what's going on off the field in the off season when the NHL & NFL are going on arn't much. Mr. Manfred you get a pass I don't know if you suck yet or not

I hate race baiters myself. I'd consider myself "far right" politically and would probably be banned if I posted my political ideas on this forum. That said Sterling was an embarrassment and I don't feel sorry for him. League should have booted him out long before now with all his sexual harassment suits against him. The guy was a creep. Besides he ran the Clippers into the ground for many years. Read about his history of not honoring coaches contracts too. The man was totally unethical. This is probably the only case i'd ever side with the race baiters. That's how awful of a man this was. He was a monster.

If he picks Vegas over Quebec solely on geography he's not only the worst current commissioner but the worst of all time in any sport. Selig was the greatest commissioner in MLB history. You know dam well it's just not the TV contracts bringing in the revenue. Attendance is at an all time high. Look at Selig's accomplishments. Wild cards, revenue sharing, labor peace, record attendance, small markets being able to retain some players and compete, getting baseball back in the nations capital and taking on a great lawyer like Peter Angelos, new retro parks etc.... Yes he screwed up on the steroid issue and he never will comprehend why fans don't like 4 hour games but the positives outweigh the negatives by far. You should let the steroid thing go. Someday you should take in a game at Miller Park. They are opening up a museum to honor Bud Selig that will look exactly like his office. You could educate yourself there on all he accomplished. And eat some Wisconsin brats/drink some Wisconsin beer:)

My guns have guns and Bibles far right and you made some good points but I still feel like silver rushed his decision to keep others happy. No matter how bad of a guy he was he should not have been forced to sell his business. I'd say the same thing if it was you and the mayor of your town forced you to sell a business you owned because of some you said even if what you said I disagreed with.

I do symphaze with the fact that he did say what he said in PRIVATE. Still there were other things he got away with in the past that he shouldn't have and that's why in this rare case I side with the PC/racebaiters who I can't stand. Plus if he would have kept the team it would have been destroyed and it wouldn't have been fair to that fan base. The Clippers would have lost all their sponsors and any player with any talent would have demanded a trade. It was only partially the race baiters the NBA was trying to please. The NBA wanted him out before that. David Stern admitted several times that he spoke to Stering about selling(due to what an awful owner he was). The LA Clippers are a top 10 franchise in value despite being a distant 2nd fiddle to the Lakers due to how enormous the size of LA is. If Sterling would have been allowed the keep the team they would have been a financial joke with no fans or sponsors.

Yeah I'd have to say your right I doubt too many companies would want to tow sponsorship money and the Clips after that. Also true they were awful for many years with no signs of trying to improve the team.
