Was there a celebration at portage and main??
Lol. Just kidding.
Hey, it's cool the Moose are back. But they clearly didn't spend any time or money on the logo and jerseys. I would have liked a new Moose logo.

No! I hated the old colours and I actually really like these. I've always like the Moose logo itself, and the colors are better now. I like the fact that it's pretty cheap. I can take my family to a game for the price of one of my seats for a Jets game. It gives people who can't get to the Jets games either due to price or availability of tickets a chance to see our young guns too. Good stuff all round. Yes. I too always hated the old Moose colors. The logo works ok with Jets colors but the Moose itself is odd. Blue Moose? Sounds like a beer. I'm thirsty. lol

Mod, we need to change the section title from "Ice Caps and Prospects" to "Moose and Prospects" DONE! I wonder if Blackthorn is mad?

He posted on this forum for a while as "Slippy" the dancing hot dog. After his cover was blown, he disappeared. Slippy: jetshockeyforum.proboards.com/user/2190

Are they still looking to Thunder Bay for the long term? Scott Brown said "long term future of the moose in winnipeg" ( paraphrasing here) the logo looks great. cold white walker type moose. i do not like the jets colors with it though. other than that, its awesome! Scott Brown said "long term future of the moose in Winnipeg" I Don't put to much stock into when people say they are in for the long haul, would you support them as a fan or corporately if they said other wise!

I can honestly say I hate the uniforms, and wish True North had stuck with the 2005-11 version.

With Jets games being sold out all the time, it will provide the opportunity to watch some hockey live instead of just on TV. The added bonus will be watching Jets prospects instead of Canucks prospects.

With Thunder Bay history, I think as long as they can drew reasonable numbers they are here to stay as much as you can say that about any minor league franchise. There isn't a plan B and won't be unless sales tank. I don't see that being a problem as long as we have some solid prospects on the team

I hate the logo, blue Moose looks forced to fit the colour scheme, the logo looks way too big on the jersey, on top of that it seems like it's missing something...but I really honestly don't care about any of that... It's going to be awesome going to watch the Jets prospects live here in the 'peg!

Why not eventually look to Saskatoon?

Or Regina. Pats are apparently looking at a new arena...maybe they could be sold on building something AHL worthy. They have so much junior hockey in Sask, you'd think they could and would want to get some pro hockey sometime, even if it means they have to find another home for the WHL team.
Once one of Saskatoon or Regina takes the plunge on AHL, the other will probably want to follow suit to not be outdone. Could be great markets for the A...Winnipeg gets Regina and Saskatoon gets Edmonton, or something like that.
Of course this discussion assumes the Moose aren't going to be a roaring success in Winnipeg for long. I think it this could be sustainable for a good number of years.

I think the logistics of having the prospects practice, play and live along with the Jets is a huge advantage that might offset any slight boost in ticket sales that having the franchise in another city might bring.
