Could they still be painted or would paint on them screw them up? I believe paint would kill them.

From a poster on HF boards
Nobody has to guess about next year anymore...as today Chipman said (I believe) at FanFest: 1. Concourse improvements 2. 200-300 video screens (TV's) throughout building/concourses/concession areas 3. Main Atrium improvements

A buddy of mine has seats in the new loge section and was invited to the media unveiling. He said the images from the clock are unbelievable. Tell your buddy not to lean forward please! You can already see from that one picture in this thread how bad of a problem that is going to be. Certainly looks like it will block everyone's view behind them, and the "counter" table at the front practically invites people to lean in on it.

So far True North has spent 18M on upgrades, 6M last offseason on expanding the upper deck concorse/bathrooms and $12M this offseason. Overall they plan on spending another $12M on upgrades. For that type of money what do you hope they do next? Here is my wish list 1. Work on lower bowl concourse 2. Do something with that ugly concrete ring between the luxury boxes/lower bowl. Paint it blue or paint a bunch of Jets logos on it. Just don't leave it like it is. It looks unfinished/awful. 3. Paint the concrete behind the last row in the upper deck blue or put jets logos on it or great moments in Jets history. Also paint the exposed concrete on the upper reaches of the press box jet blue. 4. Replace the seats. I don't think seat replacement is that expensive. I never been to MTS but reading online I've heard that the seats are hard. Get softer seats that are blue with Jets logos on them. 5. This one I should put first but since I think it's the least realistic I put it last. Get the old jets history back so you can hang the retired jerseys. With arenas it's much harder to get creative with them unlike a baseball park. You can't put ivy or a green monster in an arena. But with arenas you can hang retired jerseys/championship banners. They make nice decoration(see Bell Centre/TD Garden/United Center). The rafters at MTS look minor league/totally bare with nothing hanging from the ceiling. The retired jerseys would make a huge difference. Overall I think True North has done a great job so far. I can't get over how much better the arena looks with that scoreboard. The upper bowl concourse is still the bigger problem... just in terms of simply being too small to move, but I'm not sure there's much more that can be done with that. That's just my opinion though. However you are wrong about the seats I would say, they're pretty much standard arena seats, but just too small with no leg room. There is no fixing that until we get a bigger arena. The rest I all agree with though, and the rest is all very cheap to do
