Blues Cup run must only help attract money for any ongoing upgrades. I've never been in that arena but it looks like they had a good base to start with, and for the cost of the renovation compared to building new, the results look like money very well spent!

I've never been in that arena but it looks like they had a good base to start with, and for the cost of the renovation compared to building new, the results look like money very well spent! Your absolutely right. The Blue run along with the Rams leaving really helped in getting money from the public. It's just not the St. Louis arena that was well built. In both the NHL and NBA every 90's arena has undergone a similar type renovation rather than build new other than Buffalo(that is coming soon) except Ottawa. Ottawa wants a new one because of the location(or at least they did, it's hard to know what they now want because the current owner is nuts). The way the 90's and beyond arenas were build you can just renovate the new stuff in rather than start over for a much cheaper price. New arena's these days are $600M to $700M. Most of these renovations are being done for $100 something million to at most $200M. The one thing you can't fix is bad location.
