It's amazing. Budaj was horrible last year, but somehow he bounced back on another team to win the best goaltender.

It's amazing. Budaj was horrible last year, but somehow he bounced back on another team to win the best goaltender. It's called defense. As much as I'm sure Pavelec isn't a solid starter, our lack of depth on the blueline isn't doing any of our goalies any favours. Even Helle was average at best in his last 10 after a great start. As much as I'm sure Pavelec isn't a solid starter, our lack of depth on the blueline isn't doing any of our goalies any favours. Even Helle was average at best in his last 10 after a great start. Posted w/ Grumpz D-vice The Ice Caps had horrible defense last year. Hellebuyck finished with a 0.921% while Budaj finished with a pathetic 0.888% only GAA is really a team stat.

Hellebuyck finished with a 0.921% while Budaj finished with a pathetic 0.888% only GAA is really a team stat. Didn't say Helle wasn't better. But really, he played 19 games with the caps.
