Philip Rivers @fauxphilipriver reports have surfaced stating that the Chargers used a casting call service to fill seats to play as "fans." Tags still on their jerseys. 0 replies 2 retweets 3 likes Reply Retweet 2 Like 3 More

Todd Smith @tcsmithbiz @allirat7 @alexpadilla86 @scottkaplan @scottandbr Hired. Several attendees admitted they were given goodies, even ticket vouchers to show.

Sucks for both teams having to play 1 more year in a temp stadium but it gives the Chargers 1 more year to build a fan base and gives the Rams 1 more draft to rebuild their god awful roster after the Jerrod Goff trade/debacle. Right now other than the Bears the Rams are probably the 2nd worst NFL team given that the Browns and 49ers both had solid drafts.
Remember the Rams went 4-12 last year, 3 of the wins were close ones, they went 1-11 after the 1st 4 games, they had no number 1 pick this spring due to foolishly trading it for Goff, the last 4 home games they had about 55,000-60,000 in house(the tickets were sold though). Other than Arron Donald and the punter they have 0 impact players. (Todd Gurley has no vision to see open holes and is an out of shape LA party guy).
My guess is they could have rushed it and opened the stadium in 2019 but you only get one shot to sell PSL's/until the stadium opens. Then realistically you have to sell them just for the ticket price if they haven't sold with a PSL. I think with the poor showing last year for the Rams and another team coming that has no fans yet this delay was intentional and the rain is an excuse.

Funny how all these teams are switching locations in the NFL, and yet the NHL not only props up the Arizona Coyotes, but expands to Las Vegas.

Well the Raiders and Rams move were good moves but the Chargers move was an NHL style move/debacle. A shame the league and Spanos didn't do more to save San Diego. The league should have sent some of the relocation $ from the Rams/Raiders to Spanos to put towards a new stadium. LA absolutely did not want the Chargers.

Judging by attendance, both teams made horrible mistakes. Word coming out of LA is they wanted the Raiders, have little interest in the Rams, and absolutely no interest in the Chargers. The Rams announced attendance of 60,128 was questionable, as the stadium looked less than half full. The Chargers have zero interest, and they will be playing in the StubHub Center, which seats only 27,000 people and is home to the MLS Los Angeles Galaxy. They could not even sellout games in the pre-season.

They could not even sellout games in the pre-season. Saw that yesterday. Not at all surprised given what happened last year. That's not quite as bad as it looks because the Coliseum seats 93,000 but the Rams only try to sell 70,000(the capacity of their new stadium). The Rams were 4-12 last year and were VERY boring. The had no 1st round pick either this year! They were lucky to win the 4 games they had 1 win talent! Jeff Fisher also alienated Eric Dickerson. www.latimes.com/sports/rams/la-sp-rams-dickerson-fisher-20161129-story.htmlThe Coliseum is a miserable experience(see the heat debacle from game 1 last year) deadspin.com/the-fan-experience-at-the-rams-stadium-sounded-like-hel-1786826307There's 0 luxury boxes or club seats, the wood benches with pealed paint are uncomfortable. The site lines are HORRIFIC. That's why no LA teams for 22 years! The LA times polling in 2 separate polls put the Rams 1st, Raiders 2nd, Chargers with no fans before NFL came(see below). The NFL's own polling put the Rams 1st too! Keep in mind too the Raiders fan base is the poorer half of LA NOT corporate. In the NFL's focus groups 0 LA's fortune 1000 companies wanted to buy PSL's(Raiders gang problem). The Rams sold out last seasons tickets in a short time period ala Winnipeg Jets(were 2nd in attendance over 80,000) and broke the preseason record for attendance for a single game. The training camps were PACKED with fans year 1. If LA didn't want them and wanted the Raiders as you say that WOULDN'T have happened. They simple wouldn't have showed up last year either as protest. The Rams simple blew it last year. After game 4 the fans turned on them because of the debacle(s). The Raiders couldn't afford privately finance a stadium on their own, they needed a 2nd team(they had to partner with the Chargers and they have no LA fans). Also even if you think LA doesn't want the Rams St. Louis can't support 3 teams. The Rams had to leave even if it wasn't for LA. There is a bigger problems at work here. The head injuries and noncompetitive NFL teams. Cleveland a GREAT football market had empty stands at the end of last year. So did Chicago. The last few games even including against Green Bay were empty. This pic is in the 1st quarter! LOL The last game of the season had an "announced" crowd of 39,837 www.chicagotribune.com/sports/columnists/ct-bears-ugly-christmas-picture-haugh-spt-1225-20161224-column.htmlHere is Bears vs. Tennessee last November Check out how empty the 49ers stadium was last year though the tickets were sold. The NFL is becoming a league of haves and have not's(who has a franchise QB and who doesn't). Buffalo hasn't made playoffs since 99. When are the Chargers, Jags, Lions, Bears, Jets, Dolphins that good? The 49ers yesterday had an empty stadium for the teams celebration of their hall of famers for their pre game ceremony yesterday. Second half kickoff^^ (This is an ELITE market that mostly privately financed their stadium and sold all the PSL's they needed to! YIKES, they lost too much and fired popular coach Jim Harbaugh, fans reacted!) TV Ratings were down last year 9 percent the regular season and 6 percent for the playoffs. The thursday night game this week was a ratings disaster! Football is gradually losing it's hold. Teams MUST win these days or you get an empty stadium. Going 4-12 and NOT having a 1st round pick to top it off don't work at all anymore. Football is going to keep losing it's hold. When that Nigerian doctor found CTE in Mike Webster that was the beginning of the end. He let the cat out of the bag. High school football US wide had it's biggest yearly loss ever last year(over 25,000), pee wee football is down 20% from when CTE was discovered. A poll in the Washington Post found 86% of fans think brain injuries are a problem(no one believes the NFL's propaganda). Soon even when teams win they will have trouble. All the sitting for the national anthem is hurting too. Conservatives a p!issed because people are disrespecting the flag. Liberals are p!ssed because there is no way you can argue Colin Kapernick isn't worth being a starter on a crappy team or a backup on a better team. Sports are supposed to be an ESCAPE from politics!

Last year vs. Seattle Thousands show up for practice Season tickets sold out in 6 hours and there was a waiting list where you'd have to give $100 bucks theramswire.usatoday.com/2016/07/12/report-the-rams-have-now-sold-out-of-season-tickets/None of this is the sign of Raiders disappointment. If there was NONE of this would have happened and the results would have looked similar(a tad better) than this years LA Chargers. Keep in mind even the NFL owners backing the Carson project ADMITTED the Inglewood project was the right move. Michael Bidwell the Cardinals owner was famously quoted saying to Jerry Jones "does everything have to be about the money". The only argument against the Rams was from the family ownerships that favored Spanos because he was their friend. And northern hockey fans on HF boards backed Carson because a Rams move meant one less north team. Another thing besides the losing I forgot to mention is how Kroenke alienated fans with 1st keeping the St. Louis uniforms then going to the awful white ones this year instead of bringing back the classic blue. With the losing and awful too big temp stadium in the LA hood he needed to give something. It just couldn't be we are back this is a big city I give you nothing. Kroenke has a long history of picking awful uniforms over classics. He's done the same with the Denver Nuggets. He won't bring these old classics back even though the fans want them. The NFL should thank Kroenke for building his palace but politely request he sell to local LA interests. It would be best for both the NFL and Kroenke(he won't sell enough PSL's to finance his $1.8B palace)

Wow those pics of 49's and the Bears are crazy. I haven't been too much of a fan of NFL since I moved back to Winnipeg, but I didn't realize these teams had empty stadiums. I was at the Bears home opener Sunday and the place was packed. I found the game to be quite dull, too many commercials causing breaks in the action

The 49ers were losers under John York. Then when they needed to PSL'S all of a sudden they started winning. Once they were sold Jim Harbaugh was fired and the losing started back up. Fans feel cheated/ripped off. My cousin from Sacramento was dumb enough to buy PSL'S. He don't go to half the games anymore. The Rams may start to win in the next few years. They brought in Sammy Watkins and drafted Cooper Kupp who looks like a steal. Sean McVay looks like a great young coach. Jared Goff looks like a real QB. My guess is once the Rams sell PSL's they will pull the same stunt as the 49ers. As for the Bears once you get to October/November it will be empty. They let their best receiver Alshon Jefferies go, Camderon Meradith the best remaining receiver is out for the year. Former high pick Kevin White is also on IR again. I can't name a Bears receiver and I'm a Bears fan. LOL

I haven't been to Wrigley in years, so many changes and yet so much the same. Great seats on the 1st base side 17 rows back, Cubs didn't come through though, we left in the 8th after they were down 15-0 or whatever it was

I like what see on TV though. The Brewers have had thee Cubs number all year when playing at Wrigley. I think the Cubs are in good shape though. Washington and the Dodgers don't scare me. Arizona will be tough though. On the other side Cleveland is unstoppable(21 wins in a row!!!)
