I've heard that many attendees go to Tavern United or other pubs to use the washroom. They have to purchase a beer to do so. I'm sure some ppl go solely to consume a beverage but it seems many are avoiding the long washroom lineups at the arena. Lol. Seriously? Serious. Check the hfboards thread on this issue. There are at least a couple of ppl complaining about washroom waits.

So now that we know there's going to be very little action, until after the expansion draft, we've got a fresh new thread to attack the ownership. We've covered it all and it's official. Ownership - Garbage. Management - Garbage. Coaching Staff - Garbage. Anyone left from the Thrashers organization - Garbage. Unrealfrickenbelievable. Well let's try it from the other direction. What are the good, pro-fan things the team and organization have done that you'd like to spotlight? m.

Notice I haven't put Laine, because he was the obvious choice. Signing Perreault. Taking a team ranked 29th by hockeyfutures.com to a top 5 team within 3 drafts. Building a team poised to become a contender, in 6 short yrs, with only one top 5 pick. Providing 6 yrs of entertainment that we hadn't had since 96. Icing a team, that hasn't once mailed in the season after being eliminated from the playoffs. Bringing back the White Out. The Heritage Classic.

Serious. Check the hfboards thread on this issue. There are at least a couple of ppl complaining about washroom waits. Using that logic, you are going to leave your seat, go to a bar outside of the arena, order, and pay for a beer, drink it (not sure if this law is still in effect, but it used to be you were not allowed alcohol in a rest room) leave, back to arena, then back to your seat? Yeah ok makes total sense to me?

In 6 years I've never had to leave the MTS Centre, so I'm not concerned about this policy. The issue I have is with True North's explanation about air quality. It's really not being straight up with the fans. I would have been happier being emailed the policy notification with no explanation at all as opposed to an excuse. It's pretty self-explanatory why they're doing it.

Generous government loans and subsidies. Drafting Lukas Sutter. Signing players like Eric Fehr, Alexei Ponikarovsky, Devin Setoguchi, Brandon Tanev, and Brian Strait. The Pavelec contract, and sticking by him until the bitter end. Not addressing the goaltending issue. Poor customer relations (i.e. obstructed views behind new Loge seating). Ticket prices outpace inflation. Not dealing with the Kane situation, until a major incident occurs and he quits the Jets. Dismantling the 2015 playoff team by letting go of Frolik, Tlusty, and Stempniak. No playoff wins in six seasons.

We all have several members in here who constantly remind us of each and every single deemed missque, either fact or fiction, as if they are aware of the intricacies of what happens behind closed doors. I wasn't tasked with that nonsense, you've got it covered. But bringing the NHL back, and revitalizing a portion of down town, beats the absolute piss out of everything you posted, b.s. or not.

The only speculation in that list is the Kane situation. Everything else is documented and demonstrable.

I wasn't tasked with that nonsense, you've got it covered. But bringing the NHL back, and revitalizing a portion of down town, beats the absolute piss out of everything you posted, b.s. or not. You just don't get it. David Thomson was a godsend to this city. He partnered up with Chipman and bought the Jets. He didn't buy the Jets due to a uncontrollable desire to bring hockey back to Winnipeg. He looked at Winnipeg a decade ago, and immediately came to the conclusion that Winnipeg had tons of potential to grow. In 2007, Winnipeg was the cheapest Canadian city over 500,000 to live in. Winnipeg was beginning to attract immigrants, and our population was growing at a level not seen for 25 years. Thompson has succeeded where the Aspers have failed. He is a hands-off businessman, when it comes to the Jets. The same can not be said for Chipman. I'll always be grateful to him for bringing back hockey in my hometown, but do I feel indebted to the guy for bring the NHL back? No. He's a businessman first and foremost. How can anyone feel sympathy for a multi millionaire, who gets insane tax breaks, has seen his investment double in five years, and pinches every penny possible out of the common man that loves hockey? Grumpz, you are either a member of the 2% of elite Winnipeggers, who can afford box seats, and blow $100,000 without looking twice, or you are a fool. Chipman is completely hands-on, in terms of the True North hockey operations. If the team is under performing, the buck stops with him. If we don't sign players who will make us competitive, the buck stops with him. He is the one who is in charge. Sometimes I almost wish Thomson had gone in alone, or were to buyout Chipman. Maybe then, we will see some playoff results. Your "the Jets and True North can do no wrong" act is wearing thin. You are old-school, where the prevailing attitude was "Winnipeg should be grateful just to have an NHL team. Those of us that have lived in different place in Canada, have relized that Winnipeg people are the best people in Canada, and deserve the best. Jump off the 1997 train, and buy a ticket for the 2017 express, Grumpz. You owe it to your city.

But unlike most, I understand that errors will be made, but refuse to dwell on the errors, if progress is made. I wanted Noel gone long before most. Hated the Pavelec signing, and loaaaaath Buffs contract. And have been very vocal on all accounts. Assuming Chevy brings in a goalie, if this team is still .500 a quarter of the way through next yr, I'll be as loud as anyone, demanding Maurice gets turfed. If Chevy doesn't bring in a goalie, again, I'm one of the loudest shouting to show him the door. But I'm not going to look at the things I hate and focus solely on those issues, and ignore where they've taken this team, and what IS on the horizon. I may not agree with this team being THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT of the yr, but no one would have this opinion of team that wasn't well put together and no one would have felt this way about the Jets 2, 3 or 5 seasons ago. On a side note, is Bob Cole awake? That puck has been in the net for 39 seconds. Lol.

The dark side of social media is when you say something, it could come back to haunt you. For a few games. I don't care if all of you want to keep bringing that up, but at least reference the actual comment. Hell, you're the one parading around like you're some sort of Jets fan, and cheering for the Oilers at the same time. Really?
