With Seattle entering the league (likely in the Pacific division), this places 9 teams in the Pacific, and 7 in the Central. Assuming the NHL realigns to balance divisions into 8-teams each, which team will move East into the Central and be new prey for the Jets?

My guess is ARZ.
The most central team left. maybe CAL or EDM to balance the Canadian teams but I doubt it.

No way they split up Calgary and Edmonton. Move the coyotes to Houston then send them to the central lol

How about move Colorado to the Pacific and move Calgary AND Edmonton to the Central? That's about 0.1% likely but would be interesting. The easiest move is just to move Arizona to the Central (or relocate them first like wolfman said).

How about a "north" West division: Van, Seattle, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Minnesota, Chicago, Colorado
and a "south" West division: SJ, ANH, LA, Vegas, Arizona, Dallas, St.Louis and Nashville?
Although I really dislike those Pacific time zone games, which would make it worse than it is now.

Arizona relocates to Houston and joins the Central.

I agree Arizona should be the team but maybe they'll do a bigger realignment. Could be something like this?
Pacific: Vcr Sea SJ Ana LA Veg Arz Col
Central Wpg Min Chi Nas StL Dal Cgy Edm

That's exactly what I suggested. I doubt it though.

So with Vancouver having a new rival in Seattle they don't need those old Smythe rivals any more...and Edmonton and Calgary would stay together so this might be the most logical way to go. I would hate to be in a division with the Alberta teams but as long as we keep the central rivals it wouldn't be so bad.

So I know they would be not thrilled with having to go to Alberta more. Vancouver would not be thrilled to lose two rivals. Seattle may be close but it will be mostly being going from Vancouver to Seattle rather than the other way around. Moving Arizona make the most sense as they are liked to move to Houston one day anyway.
