Agree manilow, there was no logical reason for Tkachuk skate to be up there except to like you say, cause trouble.

Flames are a dirt bag team.

Yup the Karlson injury was the popular choice in our house. Same skate action by the assailant.

same as Karlson had and the NHL did nada...dog crap league when the best player on the ice gets removed by a cheap play...we will be out in 3 straight and I am too angry to watch any more That's the same play I was thinking about. The play that came to mind for me watching Scheif writhe in pain, the Macoun crosscheck on Hawerchuk.

Could be a quick series if we are short two of our best offensive weapons.

To me it was a good setup for some of our younger players to treat this as an opportunity to show they're ready to lead but they failed to answer the call. If this is what we've got, quick series indeed, and that will be merciful. I hope Jets can get over the shock of the loss of Scheif to start next game, but I still have too fresh a memory of how this team threw in the towel last year against the Blues at the first sign of adversity, and that was when we still had Scheif and Buff.

Not the night I was hoping for. Time to finish my rum and sleep my sorrows away.

If this was a Matt Cooke type injury, the Jets will know, as he had a lacerated Achilles. That would be obvious to the training staff. A fractured ankle would be a different issue and harder to pin point whether Tkachuk is responsible or not. As an aside what are they doing for diagnostic testing? Do they have XRay equipment onsite or do they have to go to a hospital?

Maurice makes no bones about it being deliberate.

Roslovic was tried at the center on the PP and it was pathetic. In fact I was surprised that our second team PP looked atrocious. But I think the team is deflated and not much to look forward to now except the 12.5% come draft time. Sad way to end one of the craziest years ever.
A "filthy dirty kick to the back of the leg" according to Maurice.
