I like to get a Coke or, for colder days, some hot tea--Earl Grey's my favorite--and I also like to try and keep score for the game as well... But the thing about hockey is, I can't READ while watching, which I love to do with baseball (and I'm an English major, so I LOVE reading...just finished D.H, Lawrence's Lady Chatterly's Lover, excellent book, Lawrence is the best modern English novelist this side of Orwell!) What about everone else? Favorite snacks, drinks...and am I the only one who keeps score?

It used to be a big bag of chips (maybe dip) and couple cans of ice cold coke (I'm not a big drinker). But since a recent trip to the doctor it's Veggie straws from Cosco and ice cold Coke Zero. During intermission a game of mini hockey sticks with my boy.

One one side of a WordDoc, I have a picture of an NHL rink, and on the other side boxes for a team's lineup, and then below that another set of boxes to denote goals--which team, who scored, and the assists--and then a final period-by-period set of boxes at the bottom. And probably true, lol...it's still in the 70s or 80s easily here...hotter at mid-day, probably... "Cold" for my area's in the 40s to 20s, with MAYBE two or three days worth of snow on a particularly cold year (I remember we got such snow for the last day before Xmas break my senior year in high school...it was hilarious, NONE of the theatre girls I was friends with knew how to dress for it and were freezing INDOORS, while all the guys were outside trying to have a snowball fight and a football game...and failing miserably at both. Aaaaah California...)

If the first game was any indication, my home games will be spent extracting and re-inserting my generously sized rump out of and into the marquis de sade model aisle seat I have for my ST's. I'm loving the seats but didn't realized how often I'd have to get up to let people in and out of the row. At one point I just sat on the stairs - now THAT was comfortable.
Away games? I will be continuing a tradition I started with my wife when we got married. I used to get "you're watching ANOTHER football game?" at least three times per weekend. Then I offered to rub her feet during the games.
Now what I get is "when's the next football game?" and "42 away games a season? Cool!"
I'm a big believer in positive reinforcement.

Playing hockey with a small ball or puck usually in the basement with small plastic or wood hockey sticks, look like this www.proteamselect.com/ministicks.htmlI'm currently training for the full marathon thus my snacking options are somewhat un fun but when I decide to say eff it and indulge I like to go with some wings, chips and soup mix dip. Can never go wrong with nachos either. Then lots of beer

Hey, those little sticks are cool! We should have some sort of on-site drinking game for games...

I generally end up screaming at the tv for 3 hours, interupted by a couple high fives!

It's not the calories, it's the sugar. Glucose was a high. Its all good!

So are there going to be Live Game threads here for games, or will the Chat Room be populated?
