The Chiefs resigned Chris Jones last night to a 5yr nearly $160M dollar deal with $95M guaranteed. They earlier tagged L'Jarius Snead though there are rumors they will trade him if a long term deal can't be reached. Jones is 30 so there is some risk long term but I think with that him resigning Kansas City will be the 1st NFL team to 3peat! I hope they do it, 3peatπ. Cheers, 2b9πππ

Cheers, 2b9πππ The Chiefs yesterday signed WR Hollywood Brown from Arizona to a 1year $11M deal. He's no star but and has had an injury history but has had a 1000 yard season a few years ago is and is a massive upgrade on what they had for a number 2 WR. Marquez Valdez Scandling was horrible last year and was released. They will probably draft a WR with their last 1st round pick of with the likely 2nd round pick they get in a J Jarius Snead trade. So overall they add at WR but likely lose J'Jarius Snead. CB Trent McDuffie was a 2nd team all pro last year and Kansas City does have a real good history under Brett Veach at drafting and developing quality CB's.

Iβm not a big NFL fan, being from Canada, I love the CFL, totally different game from the NFL, I prefer the CFL to the NFL, I find the CFL much more exciting, bigger field, 3 downs as opposed to 4 downs, different rules, I could go on and on, etc., etc., etc. I follow the NFL after the Grey Cup, end of the CFL Season, after that I follow certain NFL Teams, KC being one of them, Iβm rooting for KC to 3peatπ. L'Jarius Snead has been traded to Tennessee for a pick swap in the 7th round and a 3rd rounder next year. Most people were expecting a 2nd rounder. He will sign a 4 year deal. This is a disappointing return.

I forgot to mention the vote on April 2nd was a major no. No word on what the next plan is. There are rumors the Kansas side of Kansas City wants to get the Chiefs. Critics say the Chiefs wanted this to fail because there is more opportunity for a big development around a new stadium on the Kansas side. Clark Hunt did say that the reason they weren't doing more development around Arrowhead is because the area is a dead industrial area other than on game days. The Chiefs have signed Andy Reid and GM Brett Veach to contract extensions though 2029 www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-andy-reid-becomes-nfls-highest-paid-coach-in-deal-that-runs-through-2029

Chiefs to look at stadium options beyond Arrowhead Kansas City Chiefs chairman Clark Hunt said the team would look at options beyond renovating Arrowhead Stadium as it searches for a home beyond the expiration of its lease following the 2030 season. " We will approach it from a broader perspective going forward because time is short for us at this point and so we need to see what other options are out there for us,'' Hunt said. "When we started on this process three years ago, it felt like we had a very long time, a long runway with about 9Β½ [years] left on our lease. We're now down to 6Β½ and so I do feel very much of a sense of urgency. "Arrowhead is a special place for our family and our fan base. That was one of the reasons that we focused on it with the last effort, but going forward it may make more sense for us to be in a new stadium.'' Voters in Jackson County, Missouri, rejected a sales tax measure earlier this month that would have helped fund major renovations to Arrowhead as well as build a new ballpark for MLB's Royals in downtown Kansas City. Options for a stadium for the Chiefs elsewhere in the Kansas City area include building on the Kansas side of the state line. The Chiefs had committed to contribute $300 million to the Arrowhead renovations, which had an overall cost of $800 million. The plan to renovate Arrowhead and build a new stadium for the Royals was rejected by almost 60% of voters. It would have replaced a three-eighth-cent sales tax with a similar tax for the next 40 years. Hunt indicated the Chiefs and Royals would work on separate plans for funding their new stadiums."At this point it makes sense for both of us to work independently,'' Hunt said. "There's certainly nothing to preclude us coming back and doing something together, but [Royals owner John Sherman] also feels that sense of urgency and I know he's eager to try to find a long-term solution, which we are as well. "Stadium development projects just take a long time and I don't want to put a specific number on it, but with only 6Β½ years left on the lease, we're going to have to work very hard over the next year, year and a half to see if we can find an option.'' www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/40038997/chiefs-look-stadium-options-arrowhead

Time will tell. Seems to myself, too many people involved, cut it down to the most important people involved, get rid of the unnecessary bureaucracy. Get it done, stop screwing around. Cheers, 2b9πππ P. S. Just my opinion and thoughts, my opinion and thoughts obviously donβt matter to the big players/boys whom are all involved in these discussions.
