Well PM is up 3 love on the Laughs who have reverted to form. Collars really getting tight. So tight the eyes are bulging and their faces are blue.

Maurice and his staff winning with Florida, Lowry an assistant winning with Seattle... Clears up the picture even more that coaching is NOT the problem in Winnipeg.

PM has one more series to win and he's in the SC. I think we can safely say it's not the coach but the boys who made PMs life miserable.

Wow!
Toronto out in 5 against Maurice and Florida, never would’ve thought so.
Florida and Carolina Eastern Conference Final is gonna be interesting!

PM has one more series to win and he's in the SC. I think we can safely say it's not the coach but the boys who made PMs life miserable. Well Florida has a very talented team imo, finished 1st in league last year and this year made their team more playoff ready with the likes of Tkachuk. Well Bobrovsky has been pretty darn good too! Honestly, as I've said before, I'm still no fan of the Jets old coaching staff, but I am rather enjoying the run they're on and happy for them!
So PM says he lets the players run the room. Of course we pretty much knew that was what he did here too. I guess that works if you have the right players in the room but doesn't work too well if you have the wrong players running it. So that's not really fulfilling the full role I'd expect of a head coach. How can you properly evaluate your talent if you don't know what's happening in the room and trusting the Captain to tell you who is and isn't fitting into the environment they're running? Can jealousy and personal pettiness come into play? Sure, I think it can.
Even with the Jets it seemed to work fairly well under Maurice when Ladd and Buff were the main guys running the show. At least it seemed like we had a team that didn't overtly quit in a game, although of course I can't speak to the overall chemistry in the room. But once the room was turned over to Wheeler and Scheif, I'd say the disaster of that was pretty evident. Worst room they'd ever been in as Patrick said Eakins and Hayes stated.
So in Florida, PM has a highly motivated and talented bunch in the room right now, a lineup that just looks like it's built for playoffs. And it seems like top to bottom team cohesion. But if they put a couple of cancers in there and in charge, it could easily turn out like it did here. I like the Bowness approach much better than Maurice's. He's actually flushing out the the problems without staying mum about it all and leaving it to the likes of Stastny who had nothing to lose in giving us a tiny glimpse of the problems behind closed doors.

^^^^^^ So after a recent golf game one of the lads was talking PTOs to his buddy and my ears perked up. Apparently his son is a NHL player recently traded to another team. So we started talking Jets and their plight this season as he was very familiar with the team. Apparently his son and Adam Lowry are friends and Dad knew the Lowry family well. As fine a man as you could imagine apparently. He said a few complimentary things of the organization and then talked about the locker room. He said the problem was man and one man only. Let me guess I said..26? Yup. Even Adam Lowry thinks so too, despite walking out in the post game session, and saying RB could've done things differently. So there you have it. So like hockey to hear 2nd hand info post golf over a few brewskis. Names withheld to protect identities.😚

Sounds about right ek, and I have NO doubt about that at all. So other players would either be an ally of 26 or an outcast. I still have no doubt that Buff would have played out his contract if not for what was going on in that room. My point then is if the problem is one man and he's a player, that is an indictment of the coach, the GM...and the way this team is run, I would say goes all the way up to the owner himself! Dereliction of duty by management. jmho.

Dereliction of duty by management. jmho. I have heard many "wheeler anf Scheiffle" stories. They became much more numerous after Buff's departure. I have no way of confirming them so I cannot or will not post them as they would only rise to the level of rumours. There's enough of those stories though that my personal opinions are heavily influenced on the need for their immediate departure and have been for a number of years. The on-ice product has served to reinforce those stories to the point where I have no reason but to believe them. My sincere apologies for the "Trolliness" of my comments as I usually dismiss these type of posts from others but the need to vent is overwhelming. Ownership have allowed this to fester and grow. I lay the blame squarely at their feet and how they've handcuffed Chevy and the coaching staff.

Since the Stanley Cup teams are settled for this season, with Vegas & Florida waiting for the final round to start, a rather surprising streak will continue. Going back at least as far as the start of the NHL's salary cap era (2005-06, haven't checked beyond that), no team has won the Cup without having at least one undrafted player on their roster.
This year, the Knights have forward Jonathan Marchessault & defenseman Zach Whitecloud and the Panthers have forward Ryan Lomberg and goalies Sergei Bobrovsky & Alex Lyon.
