Well the collars on the Jets are gonna get tight(er) if they lose this one. Memories of last year are in the player's psyche. Hey, who's this Monahan guy you've been talking about?

Lindholm has scored twice in his 1st game as a Canuck. Monahan's a decent pickup, but Lindholm was at the top of my list. He will do well with that Vancouver talent. Yeah, it's the first game after the break so I'm not going to judge Monahan's contribution or anything like that. I really like the acquisition. It's not uncommon for this group to come back from any kind of extended break to come out flat as a pancake, like tonight's game but work their way out of it fairly quickly.
But they way the Jets offense has been this year, especially how they went into the ASB, the question still remains, who's going to score the goals? I still just don't have any faith in any Jet to score a big goal for us. Is Monahan that kind of difference maker? I don't think that's his reputation.

There were two highlights in this game: Monahan winning his first faceoff as a Jet and the Jets first few minutes of the 2nd.

I think Monahan will have a steep learning curve with Ehlers on his wing.

The theoretical advantage of having your scoring done by committee is that it ought to be very rare for all of them to go into the tank at the same time. Theoretically.

Traditionally the momentum post all star break was the reverse for what is traditionally indicated regarding the Jets last year.

Jets getting a few good chances in the 3rd...well at least they're getting chances.
