This is a game that many Jets fans have been anxiously anticipating for quite a while.
Canucks are even making believers of skeptics like me; they just keep scoring, they keep the goal out the net better than most, and they just keep winning.
Jets have won 2 in a row. While not exactly blowing the Pens and Sharks out of the water, they have done a good job of shutting those teams down.
I think Jets can keep the Canucks to the usual 3 goals or less but aside from recent game against the Bruins, this is probably the best test of the Jets defensive system.
I don't have my hopes up for this game. HNIC is often a tough night for the Jets. They usually do a great job of keeping the puck out of the net but they can't score. That is, not a single Jet can be looked at as the most likely to score a big goal; they've ALL gone flat. Unless at least a couple of guys can pull out of their goal droughts, this could be a long night...literally, since game doesn't start until 9pm!
Lineup highlights tonight, I'm not sure why IC threw Kupari into the mix? I would not be expecting him to play. Connor will maintain his spot as the anchor holding back the top line. Good to see Dillon back, sadly Stanley was just finding his playing gear, will be back in the pressbox. Hellebuyck will start his 3rd straight.
From Illegal Curve:
Jets projected lines & D pairs:
Connor - Scheifele - Vilardi Perfetti - Monahan - Ehlers Niederreiter - Lowry - Appleton Barron - Namestnikov - Iafallo Kupari
Morrissey - DeMelo Dillon - Pionk Samberg - Schmidt
Hellebuyck Brossoit
Go JETS Go!

So far this season against the 5 teams with the lowest goals against (not including Winnipeg or Vancouver), the Jets have a 5-5 record with 2 more games left (VEG/LA).
The Canucks have a 3-2 record with 9 games remaining vs PIT, BOS, VEG, & LA.
Both teams beat FLA in the 2 games they played them.
