Not a great effort. A win is a win. I'm thinking the Vancouver game will have an exhibition game type feel. I'm not sure. Can the Canucks catch Dallas for 1st place overall?

Canucks hold the first tie breaker.

Ok. If Vancouver wins against the Flames tonight, they clinch. They're up 2-0. If not, the Oilers could still be in the mix for 1st in the Pacific.

Right, whether Canucks win or lose tonight they have something to play for tomorrow...actually, I'm not sure either the Stars or Canucks really want 1st in the West...I think Preds would be a MUCH more attractive 1st round opponent than Knights IMO. Maybe Stars and Canucks will both try to botch their games tomorrow.
Edit...Vegas (96 pts) finishing the season tonight versus Chicago and Thursday against Anaheim. Preds are finished at 99 points. If Vegas wins both games they will get the first wild card spot...so it seems like 1st in the West actually is something Stars and Canucks will want. Interesting races!

For the Canucks to tie the Stars, both teams end up dead even at 51-22-9. So the tie breaker comes down to the season series between the two? Is that how it works?

I don't know if it's finalized but according to Hustler on WST, Friedman says he thinks it will be Monday.
