Simple Question: Do we want to be Calgary or do we want to be Chicago?!? Finishing 9th or 10th won't benefit anyone. Better to tank this season when you have guaranteed sell-outs, and then draft your future superstars. I say lets be Detroit, ie: Win and still bring up awesome players through the system every year. It's called scouting, finding the right players not just going after high draft picks. How many years now have I heard Edmonton is going to be scary good, and every year they tank. They still may be scary good in the future, but my point is it takes more than draft picks. It takes a whole organization that's focused on winning and tanking to get draft picks isn't being focused on winning.

I disagree about Randy Jones. They need to play him to showcase him and build up his trade value. True North is very familiar with what they have with Flood and playing him major minutes just drives up the free agent market for him.
I think both Jones and Oduya are gone, if we're buyers or sellers. We have Kulda, Postma, Festerling and Flood to replace them. Oduya has played well this year, which means the jets can get something good for him because there is no way that they will try to re-sign him with so much cheap young talent available in the organization.

Making the playoffs and losing four straight is better than not making it at all.
