Ive been wondering if it was possible to expand seating by hanging seats from the rafters like they did with the press box expansion I couldn't see why this wouldn't work, also you cold add a few sky boxes on the corners of the rafters. Either way a 16,500 seat MTS centre doesn't seam out of the question

Oh please. Not this again... *deep sigh* Well everyone, get ready for a 12-page thread that goes nowhere, accomplishes nothing, and ends up being a complete & utter waste of time. **** 10 - 12 luxury suites can be built above the upper deck seating across from the press boxes. That's in the cards in the next 4 years or so. No more "regular" seats can ever be added. We don't need them anyways. And True North doesn't want them even if we could ****

Considering some NHL teams in the south regularly play in front of 8,000 people (or less), I think MTSC Centre is way too big. We must figure out a way to reduce seating before it's too late!!!!!

We don't need more seats. This argument goes way back to the beginning of the Return of the Jets campaign.

I was wondering if you were serious or not I'm serious in that Forbes claims the Jets lost $5.2 million: www.forbes.com/teams/winnipeg-jets/I'm equally serious when I say they got their numbers by rolling some of those oddball dice that came with a Dungeons & Dragons set. m.

^^^ Those numbers are suppose to be for the 2010-11 Thrashers. Still seams way to low of a loss number for the thrashers.

The loss seems too small for Atlanta but clearly doesn't speak to the profitability of the Jets. Next year's numbers will be interesting, after we adjust for cancelled games, of course. m.

We were like 12th in revenue this year I think we are good. In a couple decades when they build a new rink, maybe they will put more than 15,000 seats in that rink, who knows. In the meantime Winnipeg will never be a top 5 income team, but they will be profitable and sell out every season.

Next years forbes list will be for the 2011-12 season. Forbes always comes out with NHL list in November so the numbers are 1 year behind.
