Went to the Moose game today. Lost the game 5-4, but were losing 4-1 at beginning of Third, so they had a big push to make the comeback. Liked what I saw for the most part. Couple of observations:
Comrie was brutal. Very poor performance. Was the reason the Moose lost. After 5th goal in third, got pulled and Phillips finished the game. Phillips solid with a couple of big saves. Comrie’s Positioning and ability to follow puck cost 3 goals alone. To the effect that the Wild had wide open nets for close to 3 seconds before they scored. Not NHL material as far as I’m concerned. Not even close.
Petan looks far too good to be in the A. Was very noticeable every shift, and appeared to be carrying the team. Scored a highlight reel goal sliding forward on his stomach redirecting a pass to the top corner. Skilled goal. I think if he played with some players with skill he would be a very valuable player for the Jets. Maybe next year.
Sami Niku stood out on D. Very offensive minded and played smart defensively. Moved the puck very good in the offensive zone. Made a lot of plays happen. I could see him making the team next year if Tobi doesn’t get re-signed (hopefully he doesn’t)
Appleton looked good too. Lots of offensive skills. Could see him being a Jet in 2 yrs. don’t think he. Oils make the jump yet.
Poolman steady on D and shouldn’t be in the A...

Good summary pb... I agree Comrie doesn't appear anywhere near ready...he's still young for a goalie at 22 and seems to have a great attitude so I wouldn't give up on him yet. But me, I think Berdin is the one who's going to be challenging Hellebuyck in 2 or 3 seasons.
