Figure it's time to talk about my other favorite team. Bombers have a strong Lions team coming in tomorrow. They have great receivers and a pretty amazing, young Canadian QB. If our pass rush can't track this kid down, could be tough. Their run game is no slouch. I feel our secondary has not been as strong this year.
How's everyone feeling about the game? Should be exciting, and a battle.
Ek, you're a big fan. Comments, concerns?

It's been a while since the team has played a meaningful game. I'm a little worried about them getting up to game speed. The rust vs rest thing. Rourke has had another week to rest his injury. I think the Bombers are in for a tough one.
Hopefully the stadium is full and crazy loud. Can't wait.

I guess I am a fan. Rourke had a Lizfranc strain a tough injury to back from. And like in hockey sometimes players are rushed to play or deny the pain and come in when they shouldn't. I think he played well enough last week to say he "should" be OK. But the Bombers will test it out and see if his mobility and ability to throw on the run are enough to keep him out of trouble. If I were Coach Hall I would blitz until he demonstrates he can hurt you. Their receivers are big too so they better double the guy that's getting the ball. Easy to say. On the O side protect QB Collaros as he is fragile and the turf is hard. And while BC won't be targeting him per se, they will make sure they tackle and "finish the check" in hockey parlance. Obviously the big factor is Mother Nature. Every player says he can handle what ever is thrown at them but that is BS. I've played in -12 weather and nothing is easy and every thing hurts. And I was young when you bounce and get right back up. This will be difficult for BC. After all they are a coddled bunch. Lucky guys have indoor games and practices and even the walk to and from the car is nice. That said I remember when BC beat the Stamps in a miserable snow storm with 15K stupid fans, and I was one, in the stands. We thought the Stamps would have the advantage. It didn't work out that way. That said Bombers win on outstanding D-play and get a chance for the 3 peat.

Nathan Rourke' brother Kurtis is slinging the ball for Ohio University Bobcats. At 6'4" and throwing for almost 500 yds in a game he is getting 2024 NFL draft attention unless he declares in 2023. Good QB genes in that family.

Good QB genes in that family. Nathan has NFL talent, I believe, but not the size. Pretty impressive. Nice to see a Canadian QB in the CFL. Looking forward to the game. Hopefully another championship. It was a long time coming, so if we string together a 3peat, would be pretty cool. Take care of business tomorrow. Would be nice to see a sea of blue and gold in Mosaic on Grey Cup weekend. Rider fans would love that, right?

I've been at a few GCs and the Rider "fans" cheer for their team and then any team from the Eastern Division. It felt sort of when the visits Wpg and all the blue shirts show up. Frustrating.

A few days ago a bunch of high profile Bombers players were listed as questionable for today...Schoen, Demski, Bighill, Jeffcoat, Baily. I wonder how many of those were truly legit or gamesmanship. I'm thinking some truth to it... some of our guys may have tweaked a joint or muscle practicing in this cold weather. If Bombers are healthy I don't think it's a close game, but BC can make those big plays...I'm nervous about this one, as I am for all Winnipeg playoff games!

Yes no guarantees in this league. Calgary has had a number of 15 win teams and nada came of it. So Ric O I understand your fear

Well 3 teams playing today: BC, Wpg and Mother Nature and she's winning.

Winnipeg wins. Rourke not quite right yet. Winnipeg OL was dominant. Collaros injury severity to be determined.

Better team won I'd say. A couple of missed kicks made this game closer than it should have been, although Rourke and BC was picking up momentum late in the game, and then with the Collaros injury...it was a bit of a nervous finish. Next week Grey Cup may be a classic!

I agree Ric O. Hopefully this isn't a repeat of 2007 and Kevin Glenn injury and Ryan Dinwiddie coming untested for the GC.

Next week Grey Cup may be a classic! I agree. 2 huge breaks for BC early with the RTK penalty and the wiffed kickoff by Grant. BC only really earned 1 major. I guess we know why they felt Harris was expendable. Oliveira was a beast. And 4 points lost on missed converts. Leggio may be the achilles heel. I thought we dominated and the score flattered the Lions. I also thought they blew the offensive PI call. Looked like a definite push off to me.

I'm expecting a sea of blue and gold in Mosaic. If Zach is good, I like our chances
