www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=377365Sean Avery's days in New York appear to be over with the news that he will be placed on waivers by the New York Rangers on Tuesday. The controversial forward was a healthy scratch in the team's last two exhibition games in Europe. Details to follow.

I'd say its unlikely anyone will but then again you never know, there might be a team so desperate for attention they pick him up. I will miss his antics though

Pheonix just may very well pick him up. he is marketable and this team needs to sell some tickets. just not sure how many tickets signing Avery would fetch them.

There arent many hockey fans in Phoenix to begin with. There fore I doubt there are many hockey, Vogue, fashion etc fans there as well. But seriously I think he would get picked up by a team if not for his big salary.

He'll find work somewhere in the league. Like it or not, he's marketable.

Yeah he'll prolly be signed by the Yotes, especially after the Doan news!
EDIT: And if the Yotes can have Biznasty on their roster who scored a whacking 1 point (I think?) last year, they'll take Avery like he's the messiah

I like Avery and I wish they kept him on the roster because now HBO 24/7 lost a lot of it's entertainment value.
